Oh, and thanks. While I'm not a fan on the logo (nor do I think it looks better on am image, if anything it looks worse), I thought the image made a terrible cover- with or without logo.
Nobody is doubting that. But as a piece of evocative art for inside the book it's fantastic imo!

Also, aren't white and red the colours of Runequest?

Not a fan of the embossed, metallic text. BUT I'd have to see it in it's final context on the cover to know if it fits in.

comin' face to face with a loada bleedin' hoplites, innit.
Most games don't bring you face to face with a loada bleedin' hoplites, innit

The interplay between crystal clear ancient-world realism and quirky cartoonishness.
It's the writings of Herodotus-on-LSD turned into a game world.

OMG boztakang, that sounds very awesome.
I wish it was for runequest though.

Were any more Griselda stories written after the Complete Griselda? I wish there was a whole bookshelf of 6 inch thick Griselda novels....and a show on HBO.

Why WOULDN'T you be able to "quest" for "Runes" in the game of Runequest? Except that in the original game, the authors weren't able to figure out how to make the rules for it...
It's always been my understanding that the Quest for Runes was the progression in a cult; aligning oneself with the principles behind that cult's runes. Amiwrong?

I'd go with Rainbow Mounds.
BTW if you map out the described colours of the caverns you will see that the colours are circular bands that form a spectrum that emanates from he room with the magic staff in it (presemably the place that the Dragonewt Plinth is built on top of, above-ground). Very cool.

Don't worry though - we do have a couple of fondly remembered British TV shows quite well represented in an upcoming release.
Robin Of Sherwood confirmed!!!!!!!!!!!

To me, taking the absurdity out of Glorantha is like taking the Istari out of Middle Earth.
I prefer my ducks to look like silly cartoons. I imagine that's not going to happen though.
"You can take Glorantha out of the Ducks. But you can't take the Ducks out of Glorantha." (Duckpoint Annals, ch.273)

Glorantha is not Middle Earth. It has always had a lot of quirky "trippy" humour twined into the serious mythic grandeur. Suck it up!
Don't try and present it as a serious "historical" game. Present it as a crazy, wacky, unique collision of the real and the absurd. Then y'all'll get along fine with the quackers aspects of the world.

Is that art from the book? It is very atmospheric!

Well, that's awesome.

We can appease both sides of this tumult:
RuneQuest 7-3

Oh! I just read Corvantirs slightly similar post!

Gosh. I'd dive, head first with fistfuls of cash, into the Upland Marsh Campaign

Only the traits that are above 15 or below 6 can dictate your character's behavior. Traits between those boundaries are just tendencies that you are free to ignore.
Also, traits tend to change according to the way you play your character.
Got it. It's been a while.

In Pendragon it is the Personailty Traits, not the Passions, that can railroad a character's story arc. The Passions can add intensity to parts of the narrative and provide benefits/shortcomings depending on how the passions interact with specific elements of a scenario. The Passions are cool. I agree about the Personality Traits though. They can create a third person, rather than a first person, experience.
Pretty sneaky, guys

You can get over that hurdle just by making a Mythic Stone Age. I'd like to make a Mythic Mesolithic as I'd love to play in the Kongemose or Ertebolle cultures.
