That's the very table I was asking about. Why is there a "Critical Success" column, if a critical success and its effects--e.g. in success comparisons of opposed rolls, in the Combat Defence Matrix (p.16), or on combat damage--are not mentioned or defined elsewhere in the document?
Yup. I miss read and I apology.
Either that column should be edited or some other parts of the text need to be reworded (critical > special success > success > failure for example). -
*NEVERMIND* I can't read.

Is an EDU characteristic off limits?
Is not listed in the Prohibited Content, so I don't see why it would be.
Just don't copy/paste the wording from another rulebook.- 2

Things that I would do if I had the time and resources:
- The Basic Roleplaying Catalog of Weapons, Armors and Vehicles
- The Basic Roleplying Catalog of Monsters and Critters
- The Basic Roleplaying Catalog of Warlords, Bosses and Henchmen
- The Basic Roleplaying Catalog of Skills and Eras

But that's not in the list of Prohibited Content, nor it is part of the trademark of any of the lines.
It is literary a mechanic (that I wouldn't even call Fate Points since that's the trademark of another game line) -

Generally good news to see this, but I need to push back against Pushing being prohibited content. A reroll mechanic has been a part of many of the RPGs I've played over at least the last decade.
A game mechanic where you spend a luck point or Power point to get a re-roll or switch the value of the dice would work I think. I mean, it is still a re-roll but it is not how pushing works.

No word about the creation of characters, either. Intentionally or due to time restrictions?
Character creation is there. Is very similar to the BGB.
You pick a profession that gives you 10 skills and you have 300 points to distribute. Then you have INT x 10 as Personal Skill points. There are no magic system whatsoever in the document.
Pushing as Prohibited Content is strange since re-rolling mechanics are universal. I would have seen the use of Luck in CoC7 as something more unique.- 1

Cthulhutech is basically Humanity fights the Great Old Ones with Mechas.

Hi there,
The CoC Keeper Rulebook (7e) says:
Then some of my non-native-English-speaker friends argued that it implies Spending Luck can only be used once, is there really something about this limitation? I don't think so since the "one" here is used as pronoun.
I know asking basic English language question here is quite stupid, sorry for the troubling.
Pretty sure the intention is that an Investigator may only alter his rolls. Not the rolls of other Investigators or allies.

Howdy-
Is the new Runequest monster book compatible with CoC 7e?
thanks
On top of my head you would be missing the Build Stat and the Sanity Loss stat.
Also, there is no APP in RuneQuest but you can use CHA instead.
Of course you would have to multiply all the stats x5.
They will have skills not found in CoC but they are mostly self explanatory.
Magic would be different. As an option you can substitute their spells with an equivalent in the Core book or the Grimoire.
Hope that helps.- 2

The most recent full edition is 2003? Am I missing something? Are you referring to the Dark Ages section of Cthulhu Through the Ages?
Back in GenCon 2015 Chaosium had some pre-published copies the newest version fo Cthulhu Dark Ages. It even had the same cover.
There has been a few threads about it. (Yup, this and Cthulhu in Space are two obsessions of mine)- 2

How different this edition will be to the GenCon 2015 edition? Same text different layout and art? Or the changes are more significant?

If I were given the task to make a new BGB I would add CoC7 innovations, like success levels, oposed rolls based on opponent's skill, maybe ad/disad rolls. Percentage stats don't work for me as visually they get mixed with skills, and they get really large once you cross the human levels.
I just wanted to post this. This and RQG/KAP Runes/Passions.
But you need to add the new CoC7 stuff. -
Those answers are way more than what I was expecting. Thanks.

I wonder just who will be in charge of it now. Greg was working on a successor of sorts over at Nocturnal, but I don't know if any of the creative team from Nocturnal will be handing Pendragon now or if Chasoium is going to assign somebody.
I know this may be an unpopular opinion but the should let @John Wick run this line (he has a passion for the game and Stratford knew it)

So, the questions:
1. Will you reprint The Great Pendragon Campaign? Or at least make the Print on Demand?2. Will Paladin become part of Chaosium?
3. Will you continue publishing new stuff and reprinting old stuff?
4. Is Stormbringer the next game to return home? Elfquest? Worlds of Wonder?

With his creations and the other games it spawned I, not only had some of the best fun of my life, but make long lasting friends in which bonds greater than gaming have been formed in the last 30 years.
He will be missed, but not forgotten.- 4

Don't have my copy handy but that may be a Pulp Cthulhu rule.

I think Gla'ki have a 1d20 Sanity loss.
Most of the "deities" have 1d10/1d100 Sanity Loss IIRC.I agree, 'though. Instead of a 1d12 and a 1d12 a couple of extra d10 would have been more convenient.

Is not "Cthulhu in Space!" but it's a Sci-Fi game using BRP. That's a win.
That said, seem it will be a while before this gets to print.

That Black Pharaoh looks awesome.
I see "Horror in the Juju House" and I'm reminded on the time I ran that section. When they left the Juju House (1 dead, 3 temporary insane, another was smart enough to not enter and wait outside...he herded the survivors back to safety) my players requested a break.
I comply, since I could use the time to sort my notes. They were drinking sodas when I overheard one of the players say "That was F***d up" (in English, even when our language is Spanish). Best compliment I ever had for one of my games. :D

So, any updates on this?
We have Pulp (30's), Western, Classic and bunch of Modern scenarios. Any news on the Icarus/in-Space material? -
Well, #thegreatpicture is Masks 2018. Love the cover.
