  1. Podríamos probar por roll20.net el módulo del Dorado. Eso sí, yo por lo menos no he pasado de leer las mecánicas básicas. Here a bad translation for the english readers: We can test on roll20.net "El dorado" scenario. I confess that i don't read more than simple mechanics.
  2. It you finally play it online there will be great to read the play whit Game master rules clarifications.
  3. I'm agree that are different manoeuvering, but when you learn the use of some weapon you learn it all, what's the sense of carry a bastard sword if you can't jump from one hand to two techniques? Same for shortspear, the first you learn is to made a stab but maybe if you have a little more time you learn to use spike like a staff. If you think that you are learning the use of one or more weapons on a school has sense to pay a complete new trait for one or two hands? Why not for throw weapons? in fact throw a dagger versus wield it is a very different hability.
  4. Duplicated traits: There is some traits that maybe are duplicated: - 1 hand / 2 hands trait: To need two traits for completly use for a shortspear or half and one sword i think are excesive. I propose use a trait for weapon like ranged / close combat example (dagger) so if you have shortspear you can use it with one or two hands and throw it. - infiltrate and sneak: Redundant, when you do one of this you will do the other 99% of times. If all of this remains separated traits there will be split engineering to :-p
  5. Trait Errata: Hearing: it allows your character to "VISUALLY" Will be it "aurally"?
  6. Once a character decides to dedicate to a skill, he/she need to speend half of improvemnment points in that skill and gains a slot for every 5%. That is irrevocable. How realistic is that irrevocalibility? You can be a soldier dedicated to close combat while young and a wise man dedicated to erudiction when old. Or change your mind for other reasons. I will like if we can get rules about renounce that dedication, maybe you don't need to speend more improvement point and loss some trait slots, maybe you can keep some extra slots for every year (or 5 years, 10... )
  7. If you want some "historical" fantasy beasts you can see "aquelarre" game, "bestiarium hispaniae" and (i'm not sure) pendragon bestiary.
  8. Athletics sounds better. If you want to use agility maybe you need to split dex activities from CON like the diferrence between a swimingpool jump competition and swing accros the dardanelles. Using one single skill for physical activities will be (str+con+dex)/3*2... :-p About ride i like use INT+WIL unless wild you try to ride a wild animal on a "Rodeo".
  9. Wow the topic has grow up this weekend! Thanks for the answers. I will try to create a celtic bard this week (not promise) i know that it's my first impression after read it and i don't create noone PC (after all, english isn't my first language and i wanted to read all sections first) About sexual dismorfism it isn't god or bad itself, simply opens a dor to easy discussions (mens are xxx, women are zzz) and i think that adventurers are significatively out of common people for lost time in that but everyone is free to play how it likes :-D Altough on historical games i generally ask my group and if someone disagrees made the environment more gender equallity. That isn't more disruptive than adds magic. A little reflexion, if you have magic and you have a common cure disease spell all the world changes, think about it, "antiobiotics" whit ancient agricultural production and technollogy. Less baby deaths, more population... Or you limit that spell or you have a world always starved.
  10. More real wild life will be great wild board, bobcat, etc. Terror bird http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/life/Phorusrhacidae About the "historical monster coliseum" i'm with Zit
  11. I have some doubts here: Human sexual dimorphism: females have -2 STR ¿Why not +2 CON (they have more life expectancy)? Or maybe +1 CON +1 DEX Not only for have a realistic environment just for don't made female characters unattractives. I have the feeling that there is no much difference between one vanilla barbarian bard and another vanilla barbarian bard, ok, you have diferent motivations and diferent characteristics but finally have basically the same points on the skills and basically the same traits. As sugestion you need to expand the choices on the traits o increase the pool of points to distribute. There is a lack of rules for create younger or older characters.
