The books are still being printed and collated. We will announce when they are on the boats and we have an estimated arrival date to our warehouses.

The MSRP for the full slipcase set is $119.99. We have no control over when/if any store (physical or internet) orders our products.

I would imagine that distribution won't order the books until at least late February, so I doubt that eBay pre-order seller will have their stock before March or possibly April.

Will the slipcase contain a second printing of the basic rulebook i.e. with errata amended?

Nor I.  Deadwood is my favorite Western series ever...I wish the suits hadn't killed it before its time.  I just don't think it applies so much to Pavis.

I think it's my favourite TV show full stop. And apparently there is a movie in the works to wrap things up.

The elevator pitch for Sun County has always been "Spartans in the Wild West".

The "future history" of Sun County is already written, taking events through to 1628. This as-yet unpublished document is titled "The Great Winter and Time of Two Counts" and is some 50K words long. Even in a backwater like Sun County and the River of Cradles a lot happens during this time (the recriminations after the Cradle debacle, the Windstop and defeating it, the Second Battle of Moonbroth, the coming of Argrath Whitebull, religious civil war in Sun Dome lands, the Dragonrise, etc). Melo Yelo plays a role in many of these events. I have posted bits and pieces from this document in various BRP Central threads

Earlier this month I ran a (baboon-free) scenario at Gen Con where the players are a file of Sun Dome Templars. It culminates at the Second Battle of Moonbroth (1624). The Sun Domers are of course Lunar allies, but at a crucial moment they adroitly change sides—or are at least not on the losing side...

    Fantastic stuff.

And some of this shall appear in Sun County 2.0 which is scheduled for release next year?

Okay, so I'm high on hope...

And I used the name "Deadwood" quite deliberately. One of the touchstones of Pavis is the mythology of the Old West - and I think it is fair to say that everyone on the team is more interested in Deadwood and Tombstone than Braveheart.

Speaking of the mythology of the Old West via Glorantha - will MOB be updating the Sun County book in a similar fashion?

Amongst other things I'd like to know what becomes of Melo Yelo.

I saw a pretty big list of projects / plans / etc that Jason (iirc) gave out in a seminar at one of the earlier summer 'cons...  @Dymbid was the poster iirc.

That was only a couple of months ago, and was YEARS of publications.  I doubt the overall shape or scope has changed much since then!

    Could you share?

  6. No, I understand that mundane animals wouldn't get an illustration but I was assuming that the iconic Gloranthan creatures would get something similar to Peterson's Guide.

I guess future sourcebooks a la Trollpack will bring more illustrative detail. Which reminds me, has a RQG product roadmap seen light of day yet?

I also have the (as-yet unpublished) future history of Sun County, "The Great Winter and The Time of Two Counts", extending the timeline from the appearance of The Cradle in 1621 through to 1627-8.

Just listened to the excellent Grognard Files interview. Will you be writing up this future history for a (hopefully, soon-to-be) forthcoming Sun County RQG supplement?

  8. Supplements in the pipeline according to an interview with Mike at the weekend:

A revised Terror Australis, a Beginner's Box, collected adventures for Down Darker Trails, a mini campaign for Down Darker Trails, a Pulp Cthulhu psychic campaign

    All great stuff....

    but no Dreamlands?

  9. My main question is, now that RQ is no longer focused on Prax and the Lunar occupation era, what will campaign play actually look like?

This, no doubt, isn't addressed in the rule book but will be gradually revealed as supplements are released.

Nonetheless, I would love to know the general shape that it's going to take....

  10. I have to say, Mike Mason is an absolute monster of a line developer for Call Of Cthulhu. The quality and volume of releases since he took on the job has exceeded all my wildest hopes for the game.

I was trying to think of my best Call Of Cthulhu is no longer dead but dreaming metaphor cliche, but you get the idea... Many thanks Mike.

AFAIK Moorcock hasn't re-licensed the rights to his IP.

If I succeeded in my Rumormongering roll, I think that I recall hearing that Chaosium had approached Moorcock and not gotten an out-of-hand rejection (though neither had they gotten any agreement) and were still in (slow-mode) negotiations; so while it's not impossible, it's nothing to hold your breath in hopes of seeing...

I know. Just wishful thinking on my part. Although, the new team seem to be working a new special kind magic into Chaosium. Maybe they could work some of that magic into a fresh approach to Moorcock regarding the license.

    Like I said, wishful thinking...
