  • RPG Biography
I started playing Dungeons and Dragons in 1979. I taught myself how to play so I was the dungeon master for the first year. My favorite character was a 16/12 Cleric Assasin. I took a break during second edition but played 3 and 3.5. I played Pathfinder for awhile but returned to D&D for 5th edition.

  1. The scenario doesn't specify. The barrels in the list of supplies include 10 barrels of water, 2 barrels of whiskey, and 2 barrels of gunpowder.
  2. I ran Ides of Winter this past weekend at ConnectiCon XVI in Hartford. One player talked to Atellus and another made their hard Library use roll searching among the Col's research notes so were able to find Dade Chapel. After locating the gladius, they went to give it to Atellus so I had them make listen rolls when the Rose & Crown collapsed and continued from there.
  3. Name: Dan Combs Country: USA Location: Central Massachusetts (North Brookfield) I have been playing and running D&D since 1978. I have been running CoC for about a year. I ran 4 scenarios at Necronomicon 2017 in Providence and this past weekend I ran 4 scenarios at ConnectiCon XVI in Hartford. I am currently running Adventurers League D&D every other Monday and help demo board games one Saturday a Month at That's Entertainment in Worcester Mass. I am considering participating in online CoC but haven't seriously looked into it yet.
  4. I ran this mod on Friday at ConnectiCon in Hartford CT. The investigators got dynamite, located bad guys, blew hole in back wall and decided throwing sticks of dynamite would be fun. Well, a stick of dynamite went astray due to throw failure and landed next to the supply tent that conveniently had 2 barrels of gunpowder and 10 sticks of dynamite. The dynamite was 10 feet from the barrels so I ruled that they exploded. I had it vaporize the tent and 3 outlaws but not quite sure what the effect of on rest of camp would be. I did have 2 nearby investigators make luck roles and had them fly through the air stunned. My question is how do you calculate a barrel of gunpowder?
