The ENNIES are one of the best known tabletop roleplaying game awards. The nominees are selected by a panel of industry experts and voted on by fans – and voting is now live!
 
We're excited that releases by Chaosium and our creative partners are up for awards in nine different categories! This includes many Call of Cthulhu titles - Alone Against the Static, The Well of All Fear, William Bailey's Haunted Mansion, The Last Dance of Lola Montez, Los Hobos and the Wolves of Carcosa, Musketeers Vs Cthulhu, Twelve-Sided Stories, and the Arkham Investigator's Wallet, along with Rivers of London: The Domestic.

ENNIES 2024 Spotlight: Alone Against the Static

Our Call of Cthulhu release Alone Against the Static has received two nominations in the 2024 ENNIES Awards: Best Adventure - Long Form and Best Writing. All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

Reviewers have praised Alone Against the Static as "Unsettling and immersive, with clever nods to modern horror tropes" [El Runeblogger] and "the best Call of Cthulhu solo adventure I’ve played" [Pen & Paper News].

Los Hobos and the Wolves of Carcosa

The Miskatonic Repository Call of Cthulhu release Los Hobos and the Wolves of Carcosa has been nominated for Best Community Content in the 2024 ENNIES Awards. All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

Reviewer Captain Gothnog says of this 1930s 'Grindhouse' scenario, "If you can imagine a movie based on a short story by H. P. Lovecraft, written and produced by the Coen Brothers, and directed by Quentin Tarantino, you get something close to Los Hobos and the Wolves of Carcosa."

The Miskatonic Repository Regency Cthulhu release The Well of All Fear has received two nominations in the 2024 ENNIES Awards: Best Adventure - Short Form and Best Community Content. All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

Reviewer Chris at DriveThruRPG says The Well of All Fear: is "Another slam dunk from Kat Clay" and "If this doesn't become a best seller with many medals I will eat my bonnet!"

Reviews from R'lyeh says The Last Dance of Lola Montez is "an emotionally charged wicked web of a scenario. Narcissism and vampirism intersect in a tale of a Spanish dancer’s revenge."

ENNIES 2024 Spotlight: William Bailey's Haunted Mansion and Twelve-Sided Stories: Other World Hollywood

 

Best Streaming Content Nominations 2024 ENNIES

We're delighted that two Call of Cthulhu actual play shows have been nominated for Best Streaming Content in the 2024 ENNIES Awards: William Bailey's Haunted Mansion and Twelve-Sided Stories: Otherworld Hollywood. Please vote for them both! 

All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

William Bailey's Haunted Mansion

This one shot Gaslight era Call of Cthulhu Adventure is set in the criminal underbelly of colonial Australia, and was first performed live at the Ballarat Heritage Festival. Chaosium's Michael O'Brien who was in the audience said William Bailey's Haunted Mansion is:

"a masterclass of showing how you can deftly concoct a (fictional) Cthulhu Mythos tale out of real historical happenings, bringing in known locations, authentic artefacts and documents, and actual people who lived at the time. Congratulations to David Waldron and the talented players and musicians who brought the story to life at the gaming table, and have now published the scenario! And thanks to Ballarat Libraries who helped make it all happen at the Ballarat Heritage Festival! In Call of Cthulhu, librarians are the heroes, don't you know..."

Twelve-Sided Stories: Other World Hollywood

Twelve-Sided Stories is a slickly produced, professionally edited actual play podcast that regularly features Call of Cthulhu in the long-running 'Other World' series, set in different cities during different time periods. 

Other World Hollywood is an amazing 50's noir Call of Cthulhu tale about the dream of fame and fortune turning into a eldritch nightmare. "Brilliant, highly diverse, comes at you from left field and knocks you for the best loop in your life... ENNIES 2024 Spotlight: Musketeers Vs Cthulhu

 

Musketeers Vs Cthulhu

Produced under license by our friends Nightfall Games, Musketeers Vs Cthulhu has been nominated for and Best Writing in the 2024 ENNIES Awards. All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

Musketeers Vs Cthulhu co-creator Claudia Christian is well-known for playing Commander Susan Ivanova on the influential science fiction television series Babylon 5. This makes Musketeers Vs Cthulhu the second Call of Cthulhu project with a direct Babylon 5 connection, the first being Masks of Nyarlathotep. Masks of Nyarlathotep was written by Larry DiTillio, also a writer and editor for the Babylon 5 series.

Produced under license by our friends The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, The Arkham Investigator's Wallet has received two nominations in the 2024 ENNIES Awards: Best Aid/Accessory Non-Digital and Best Production Values. All up Chaosium and our creative partners, licensees and community creators have received twelve nominations in this year's awards.

The HPLHS have won multiple ENNIE Awards for their prop sets for Masks of Nyarlathotep and Call of Cthulhu Classic, including Product of the Year (2019, 2022). About this newest creation, The Arkham Investigator's Wallet, reviewer hypomodern says "The HPLHS is a constant source of inspiration, and sets like this really set the mind aflame with possibility. Their typefaces, paper selection, sizing... everything is just <chef's kiss> on point." What's more, the contents of the Arkham Investigator's Wallet seamlessly integrate with Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu: Arkham supplement.
