Sometimes you can export a PDF to text. Give it a try.
The PDF (link) is Secured so that's not an option unfortunately.

Problem is that I cannot select the text in this PDF. I'd have to retype it word for word into the translator. I'm really not so thrilled with that idea. lol

Thanks! Drakar och Demoner was BRP-derived, at least the early versions, wasn't it? Because of the article's old-timey looking printing, I thought it was from the '80s.
Yeah, I get that. Its just the style they chose obviously. Its copyright date is September 20th, 2001. This has made me wonder if it was written in a different world (pre-9-11) then it was published in... hope that makes sense.
I've reached out to the authors and artist (or people with their names: Magnus Seter, Peter Bergting and Dan Algstrand... the middle one is the artist) on Google+ or, in the case of Peter, an artist's website.I've heard back from Peter (he didn't help develop it, thinks there might be an English translation but isn't sure where it would be) and from Dan who is pretty sure there is no English translation. I've given them both links to the conversation so they may join in.
Dan was curious about the interest in a nearly 13yo suppliment of an out of print game. I told him I was curious about the content, that I'd like to know if there was anything unique to the work. I told him maybe others felt that way also but that I couldn't be sure.
I'm considering doing the work of translating it myself (like I did with the title) but it would be a word-for-word translation using Google Translate or this Swedish-English dictionary.

The title of the PDF appears to translate to "Ankor for Trudvang" "An Unofficial Description of Ankor for Trudvang"
Trudvang is the campaign setting for the 6th and 7th editions of Drakar och Demoner.
-
It is in Swedish (unable to get a clean translation).

Unrelated to Labyrinth Lord, here's a duck-related article but I'm not sure what language it is in or what year it came out:
It has a 2001 copyright on the bottom of the first page and is in Swedish (unable to get a clean translation).

You didn't miss it - I just got held up on the finishing line by the engine module stuff. I can probably post it on ge.tt this weekend. Only some small changes in this update. I will post something here when it's available.
Very cool.

Adding some small bits here and there for version 1.2...
Have you uploaded 1.2 already? Cause if so I missed it.

How do you feel about this nerdvana? Would this work in your campaign?
Right now my focus is on other areas so I'll try to give feedback on this sometime in the future (hopefully not too distant but work rules my days and sleep minimizes time to put into my hobby naturally *wink*)

I think some of the confusion is based on clarance's basing this on the GURPS Spaceships line by David Pulver perhaps which has a specific way of handling modules (and limits the # of modules that can be installed) and systems.
-
Aramone, we should compare notes since I'm planning on putting together a similar game... BRP/Legend based, Star Frontiers with some infusion from Traveller.
And clarence, I do intend to use your spaceships rules so I'll let you know how that goes when I get that far.

Just wanted to say that I love the layout of the PDF. The large margins for a side bar, the font choice, pretty much everything about it. It's a nice change of pace from the usual two column approach commonly used for RPG material.
I can see both sides of this. When reading on a computer I prefer full page text in my PDFs but on my phone the two column makes for better reading. However I will say it looks crisp and professional.

Reading though the book right now having backed it this morning... only critique so far is Size instead of Mass. I really think that calling the trait Mass helped with the flavor of Ringworld and it might or might not be an easy tweak. Definitely would be as a GM so it doesn't matter much, just felt like I'd provide that feedback here. That said, I'm happy I invested in the project!

(Hmm, I posted an answer on this forum yesterday, but it seems a moderator must accept it first... Not sure why.)
That's very weird. I've never seen that happen.
-
I don't see it anywhere though. Its very weird as similar forums show me my sent PMs instantly.
So, based on behavior, PM here doesn't save what you send but it does send as I got Clarance's reply to the PM in the PM views.
@Clarance: Cool. Hope you like what I did.
-
I think a PM stays in the Out folder until the recipient reads it and then it goes to the normal folder.

Tried sending you a PM Clarance, as it didn't go to my sent folder I am not sure if you received it. Let me know if you didn't. I have the file on my 4shared though I can put the link in the thread here if you'd rather I do that. (I also fixed page numbering, applied some document properties and moved the location of the blank sheet to the end for reasons of personal aesthetics.)

I would love to! (Why didn't I think of adding bookmarks...?) Do you need my email address?
What program do you use to make the file bookmarked? I will have to check if I can have InDesign fix that in the next update, or perhaps it is easier in Acrobat?
I use Adobe Professional to do those changes. And why don't you PM me your email address and I'll do the bookmarking I'm interested in doing and send it to you to see what you think. If you like it you or I could upload it (probably best you as it is really your work).
-
Clarence, would you like a copy of this with bookmarks? (I was intending to do this for myself, but figured I'd offer it back with that for you if you desired it)
-
You rock Rod. Thanks so much!

I was thinking of taking Legend and twisting it into a Science Fiction game so I can use backgrounds, Common and Advanced skills, etc. I don't know what it is about OpenQuest but I don't like it as much as I like Legend.

I have'nt yet, but it's on my to do list. Star Frontiers is still my favorite sc-fi setting for rpg's, so when I get my hands on "River of Heaven"
ill start my conversion. I had lost my box set years ago so I recently picked up the POD version from LULU.

Anything you are missing you can pick up here

I was wondering if anyone else has tried running Star Frontiers with BRP or some variant of the d100 system and, if so, if they had any parts of their conversion to share?
-
So you have had a bunch of people trying to help you when you haven't even tried to do an upload!
I tried an image upload into the forum. For all appearances it is the same. Thus I wanted to know the /rules/. I didn't know who to ask so I asked here. I then PMed the forum owner as was suggested. Then other people started talking and I answered. Please don't get upset with me for your continuing when I acknowledged the information you gave me three days ago.

It was called Kings and was short-lived. In addition to its IMDB entry (previous link) you can read about it here on Wikipedia.
