One option is to have one Herblore skill, then have different recipes for different potions. A character must have obtained a specific recipe to make a particular potion. Easy potions are rolled against an Easy difficulty and more complex ones against a Difficult one, i.e half and double skill value respectively.
I think there is a list of herbs and their uses for Harn. If you have trouble locating stuff feel free to drop me a PM.
There are a few different files in the Downloads section dealing with Alchemy and Potions and such that could be used as inspiration.

The Midgard I played must have been the UK one. And from what I remember of it it was a well done game, just not quite my thing, but I know many liked it. I hope you can find some more willing souls.

I played Midgard briefly many years ago. I don't remember why I stopped, perhaps because I'm more roleplayer than wargamer but it seemed like pretty decent game.
Not really looking for a PBM I actually have to pay for these days ;-)

Right. I bought the first PDF out of curiosity, but only read through it the once.

For what its worth, GURPS has a series of PDFs detailing a, I believe, rather abstract ship construction system. It also includes s space combat system focused on the PCs at their different stations.
I've no idea how good either is, but I think the intent was to design simple, quick and fun systems to play.

I'm pretty much out of the Glorantha loop nowadays but the community seems to concentrate mostly on mailing lists, less on forums. There is a mailing list for all editions of RQ, but I don't know how active it is.

While historical settings aren't my favourites, I voted for Renaissance Europe. It was a toss up between that and Dark Ages though.

I only commented on something I found a bit amusing, that's all. As I have not read the book I couldn't comment on it one way or another.

There is a stone relief in one of the churches on Gotland (Lye?) featuring Herod's slaughter of the innocents (the killing of all boys under the age of 2). The knights portrayed have been interpreted as modelled on Teutonic Knights.
As an example of how people sometimes may have felt about the Teutonic Knights at the time, who held the island for a time until Denmark bought it back.

A couple of actual plays, using some of the monographs as well as a homebrew, to show how versatile BRP can be sounds like a pretty good idea. Can't do much harm anyway.
I think they'd better be done of rpg.net than here though.

Since I only get my gaming these days through the Internet, I am curious how many else are in the same boat.
What do you think are the disadvantages and advantages of on-line play such as Chat/IRC, Virtual Tabletops, PbP/PbEM?
If you are (or would like to be) a writer for a D100 game or supplement, would you "showcase it" on a forum such as this?
