  1. Do I keep refreshing the Chaosium site to see if there's an announcement of its release? Ummmmm...no, that would be obsessive. *ahem* (Me: Temperate 4/Indulgent 16)
  2. I totally forgot about the BRP book! I got that in PDF first too. I was thinking of how the official word has been, for the most part, PDFs don't come out before print. Like MOB said, that's their standard release aim. Personally, I'm just really, really eager to have the core book in my hands, but for your sake, I hope your surgery goes well and it comes out in time for your recovery reading.
  3. Chaosium only releases the physical book and PDF at the same time.
  4. "Okay, Player-knights, do you want the Glory of being a big fish in a small pond or the Glory of a small fish in a big pond?"
  5. I think you're right, it will be in the GM book. I might grab the The Book of Feasts and deck to tide me over until then, since my players said it sounds fun. We're currently playing through the second adventure in the Starter Set and there's a court scene in it that would have been fun to use the Feast Deck for.
  6. I'm rereading the Pendragon design journal and in #7: The Social Game it talks about a Geniality statistic and a Feast Deck. https://www.chaosium.com/blogpendragon-design-journal-7-the-social-game/ There ended up being nothing about Geniality and no Feast cards in the Starter Set. Is this still going to be a thing in the core book? Or a later supplement?
  7. It looks like a hardcover in the picture but in this thread they said it would be softcover.
  8. I freaking love Time for Chaos! Ross Bryant is one of my favorites for anything, I love the Midatlantic accent Noura uses, and I was howling towards the end of last season when Carter ended up being the voice of reason because they other three had started going insane. Carter being sensible and pragmatic is the real madness of the game.
  9. I'm assuming at least the core books will be hardcovers like with RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, Rivers of London, and the new BRP book.
  10. SO EXCITED FOR THIS! My friends and I recently finished playing through the first adventure of the Sword Campaign in the starter set.
  11. Here daughter is a friend of mine and when I found out who her mom is, years ago, I fanboyed really hard. My heart is broken for her.
  12. I don't know if this counts as a correction, but my players and I have been frustrated at how the adventures have plenty of scenes where the player-knights can get new Passions, but there are no blank lines under Passions on the character sheets to write them in. I don't know if they could be changed for future print runs of the starter set, but it would be great if the sheets were set up for the changes the player-knights go through over the course of the campaign.
  13. Yes, the paper used has such a great weight and feel! I love it! I'm hoping the same paper is used for the forthcoming Pendragon books, the paper just has a Pendragony feel to it for me. This version of Basic Roleplaying is just all around great.
