Maybe an Elite: Dangerous SF setting has available IP? That might work.

I usually give my dog batwings.

Nothing for long, though, other than RuneQuest.
And there is nothing wrong with that at all

Looking back at the original post reminded me of an incident when I was talking to my mum after playing Rune Quest. She wanted to know what I'd been doing at my mates and I said something like '... I almost joined a cult today...'
Oh, how we laughed... about an hour later when I had finally managed to successfully communicate what I actually meant

Strange that you should mention that...
The Uncle is the client we are investigating. And there was an old country house which had a little out building on a cliff edge on the grounds. There was definately something going on there, we bumped into a ghoul. I know it was a ghoul because it 'meeped' and 'glibbered'. We found a clue there that lead us to Old Blighty, where we had a similar experience but with a Hound of Tindalos, which was quite worrisome!
Then we had to catch a boat to Japan, took ages, where we found more clues, one of which lead us straight to a Star Vampire (I say Star Vampire as though I have some idea as to what is going on, but really it was a rather panicked event). I seem to remember us running away from that one... so we might have missed a clue there...
Fast forwarding with no montage at all... We are back in England, well Scotland actually, on the shores of Loch Ness, which feels quite safe and tame compared with some of the places we've been recently.
Thankfully my character isn't too smart so he still has most of his SAN left. The Professor however, has developed some OCD type behaviour though...

T&T is really quick and dirty.
It's a simple set of rules, monsters can have 1 stat which determines hp and attack dice. I would say it is vaguely reminiscent of D&D, but really vaguely
I believe there was a kickstarter for an updated, expanded set of rules sort of recently...

I've run RQ 2/3, Toon, Shadowrun, TMNT, a long time ago T&T, and I'm a Car Wars fan too.
And I've played more systems than I can remember, but probably mostly RQ, D&D and GURPS.

I'm playing in a CoC game at the moment. Haven't played Cthulhu for years and I'd totally forgotten how much fun it was .
We're on a globe trotting escapade to discover the reason for a clients death. It was a little suspicious...

Miscommunicate and Confusion...
should be the name of the new thread
Actually that would be poor english, it should be 'Miscommunicate and Confuse'.

I'm beginning to think that there may be a use for a 'Generic d100' forum, probably in 'The D100 Family' group.
If you want to talk about BRP then these generic threads are starting to confuse the purity of the 'Basic Roleplaying' thread... make room for it and I could just ignore them and only look at what I come here for, which is BRP (with a sideline in Glorantha).
I suppose the only other real option would be for someone to start a Generic d100 website and forum. However, seeing as when I do a Google on 'd100 forum' the top 5 results are all about Nikon cameras and number 6 is this website (!), that may be the stupid option.

I ran a Toon game once titled NECROCOMICON, THE BOOK OF DREADFUL PUNS.
But I don't think that was what you were after and Toon is not good campaign material anyway...
-
Lets not stick to expensive materials, some things are much cheaper and easier to come by.. using a severed limb, for example, could still be a 1d4 or maybe 1d6 club (i'll beat ya ta death with the soggy end).
-
I've always thought of Brawl as an improvised weapon attack.
So it could be a punch or a kick but it could also just as easily be a bottle or a chair or a kettle or a vase or anything not normally used as a weapon. Damage would be... whatever seems appropriate at the time!
-
Best bet is to contact Chaosium direct. The authors don't really get an official say.
-
There has been some variations in Musket damage, from the standard Cthulhu 1D10 + 4, in the Quick Start rules Richelieu scenario which has them as 3D6 + 2 and Aces High has them as 3D8.
I've been in the process of revising the damages in Aces High and now my Musket damages are much more aligned with the Cthulhu levels. It represents an increase in my knowledge concerning how firearms work. Originally (I think) I may have assigned damages based purely on calibre, I know better now...

I usually have a stack of pre-generated npc monsters. If I don't have what I want ready I use averages.

So much work!
When we come back to my RQ campaign I may well have to delve into this.
Much appreciated.

Looks like I can upload images to my gallery.
But I'm still getting "Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file" when i try to upload a pdf to Invision Power Board / Downloads / Fantasy/Historic / Classic RuneQuest
It's less than 2mb and doesn't exceed the 20mb limit...
I'm in no great rush, I've just got something to share.

I just had a go at uploading a pdf to the downloads and a jpg to the gallery but got a message saying that I can't upload those files!
Also tried to email Trif but got a message saying that you can't receive mail at the moment.
Am I banned
Looks good though!
