  3. COVID-19 Shipping and Fulfilment Update - November 6th We hope that you, your family, and your friends continue to be in good health. Throughout this challenging year, while there has been some delays in the mail at different times and places, fortunately we've been able to keep our fulfilment warehouses in the USA, UK, Poland, Canada, and Australia open throughout. If you want to check the status of your order, you can always drop Dustin a line: dustin@chaosium.com. And remember, while you're waiting for your physical shipment from Chaosium.com, you have the PDF already to read, play, and enjoy. The Covid-19 pandemic is also causing disruptions to international freight movements. These too are out of our control, and has meant we've had to push back some release dates. Fortunately, we have just received confirmation that the Malleus Monstrorum shipment will arrive in the US on November 12, and in Australia few days earlier. These shipments then need to clear customs and be transported to our warehouses, but we hope to have the Malleus Monstrorum slipcase available for sale in these locations before the end of the month. UK, EU, and Canada will be a few weeks after that. We will announce any changes to our shipping and fulfilment status as the situation continues to unfold. We thank you for being patient with inconsistent shipping times and also appreciate people buying direct. It has helped the company in these trying times. On behalf of the whole Chaosium team, wishing everyone all the best until the Stars are Right again. — Rick Meints, president Chaosium Inc.
  4. Has been solved: https://www.redbubble.com/studio/promote/60278463
  5. Correct! Yes, as you can above, the image is on the tin. The jigsaws come up in different sizes up to 1000 pieces - the puzzle above is 500 pieces. https://www.redbubble.com/studio/promote/60278463
  6. Jonstown Compendium creators – check out these Art Packs by fellow creators Martin Helsdon and Dario Corallo! Martin and Dario have both given permission to purchasers to use these illustrations in Jonstown Compendium publications (with a credit to the artist). The labels can be removed, and the images reduced in size, but no other changes can be made for publication without permission. And GMs and players can use them too! Solely for their own use in handouts and character sheets, but not for wider publication. https://www.chaosium.com/blogjourney-to-jonstown-16-art-packs-by-creators
  7. We did a test print of some cover art and it came out wonderfully (who can guess what the puzzle image is?) Hint: this is the right channel for this
  8. Gearing up for the approaching holiday season, we now have a selection of Chaosium jigsaw puzzles at our Redbubble store. We did a test print of some cover art and it came out wonderfully (who can guess what the puzzle image is?)
  9. Early reviews of The Children of Fear, our new epic multi-part campaign for Call of Cthulhu, are stunning! Paul St John Mackintosh, paulstjohnmackintosh.com, says, "Unreservedly recommended... a gem and an instant classic. What an incredible odyssey this is through different mythologies and belief-systems. Players will encounter creatures and situations that will likely stun and bewilder them, as well as just challenging them to all kinds of contests of brain and brawn." As for the physical quality of the book and all its handouts and maps, it looks to me like a new high in Chaosium’s current, brilliant spate of high-quality design and art direction... Even a fantastic job of book production like the updated 7th edition Masks of Nyarlathotep rather tends to fade into the background in comparison with The Children of Fear." Read the full review here. Andrew Logan Montgomery, Exploring the Otherworlds of Fiction, Magic, and Gaming, says, "This is another campaign you are going to want, especially if you have any interest in a Call of Cthulhu campaign that shakes things up a bit. Full of colorful detail and explanation, you need know nothing about Theosophy, esoteric Buddhism, Chinese legends, or Tibet to run it. It has all the detail you need." "Loaded with hand-outs, pre-generated characters, new monsters, new spells, and a ton of resources, The Children of Fear is more evidence that Chaosium has cracked the code on how to make a massive, sprawling campaign accessible." 10. Astral TableTop is a Virtual Tabletop (VTT), partnered with DriveThruRPG. There’s a special demo experience for Call of Cthulhu, and now the Call of Cthulhu Quickstart is also available! With Astral you can build custom maps; add sound, weather, and atmospheric effects; track combat; upload documents for any tabletop RPG ruleset. Now more than ever, it can be difficult for you and your friends to get together in the same place for a session of tabletop roleplaying. 22. Allan is a highly experienced and award-winning content creator with a deep and dedicated love of the Call of Cthulhu RPG. We are pleased to have him on board to work directly with our growing band of independent writers and artists at DriveThruRPG.
  23. @Nick Brooke was recently awarded the Greg Stafford Memorial Award for Gloranthan Fandom for 2020 for his passionate advocacy of the Jonstown Compendium. We're happy to formalise that advocacy with this appointment and pleased to have him on board to work directly with our growing band of independent writers and artists at DriveThruRPG.
  24. Chaosium has appointed Community Ambassadors for its Miskatonic Repository and Jonstown Compendium community content programs on DriveThruRPG. The Miskatonic Repository is Chaosium's platform on DriveThruRPG for independent creators of gaming material for the Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game. It was launched in December 2018. The Jonstown Compendium, established in December 2019, fulfils the same function for RuneQuest and Greg Stafford's world of Glorantha. The success of these fan-driven programs is evident by their thriving communities of creators and the rapidly growing number of titles available, with more added every week. Allan Carey (below left) is the Miskatonic Repository Community Ambassador and Nick Brooke (below right) is the Jonstown Compendium Community Ambassador. On Chaosium's behalf, they will act as a first point-of-call and helpful sound board for prospective Miskatonic Repository and Jonstown Compendium content creators. They can provide advice with the various aspects of creating and publishing a community content work, including ideas generation, IP issues, writing, editing, art direction, layout, publication, and preparing a title for print-on-demand. They can also direct queries to the appropriate person at Chaosium or DriveThruRPG if need be. "Nick was recently awarded the Greg Stafford Memorial Award for Gloranthan Fandom for 2020 for his passionate advocacy of the Jonstown Compendium. We're happy to formalise that advocacy with this appointment. And Allen is a highly experienced and award-winning content creator with a deep and dedicated love of the Call of Cthulhu RPG. We are pleased to have both on board to work directly with our growing band of independent writers and artists at DriveThruRPG," said Chaosium vice president Michael O'Brien.
