Are all the scenarios Sci-Fi?
-
There are mook/minion rules in Dragon Lines as well. And DL's martial arts system is interesting.

Currently 20% off Print Monographs. But man, Chaosium is killing me with their shipping, there's no more free shipping if you spend x amount of money. And their rates are... horrid. Used to be free shipping over $60, heck even over $100 would be fine. The shipping ends up costing the price of another book.

I read the Elric stories years ago, but only recently read the Hawkmoon books. Afterwards I had to track down, the Hawkmoon box set, the Corum book as well as those stories too. We played Hawkmoon characters updated to SB 5, and played through the Shattered Isle and Rogue Mistress. I have to say it was one of the most epic and fun games ever played. When I realized that Magic World had the same skills on the character sheet as Stormbringer, Hawkmoon, Corum and a Hyborian characters rules (I found on here I think), we had 5 different worlds to explore. Sadly that game hasn't been played in awhile. Anyway, so yeah, I love anything to do with those older rules and settings. BRP rules.

Well after 3 months of D&D5e, I've gone back to BRP-based everything. Let's just say it's good to be back home.

And for those who're interested, here's my character for this upcoming game:
Ka
Talking raven mysticAwesome. I played a talking wolf shaman named Black Fang. It was one of the most interesting characters I've ever made.

I got it and we're running a game right now. I like it, it seems to have fixed alot of stuff that I started to hate about 3e. In a way it seemed to me to run a little more like BRP but I've been running nothing but BRP for the last 10 years so maybe it's just my GMing, lol. It is more story based and less powergamer, at least it seems that way to me. The players like it, 2 are new to D&D and 1 is an old 2e/3e vet.

There is a beginning adventure in the quick start rules set in the Southern Reaches, I'd use the full rulebook and go ahead and play the scenario. I remember we started it but I don't think we ever finished it, so I can't really make any points about the mission itself. It's set in the Southern Reaches (which is the default setting of the main book) so that's good enough for me.

The first one is quite awesome, I'm sure this one will be as well.

Awesome. I bought this a couple years ago from Noble Knight for $50. This inspired me to get Superworld and Superworld companion. Outpost 19 monograph expands on Future World. We've used all the stuff from those two in our home-brew space opera game.

In Search of the Trollslayer and BRP Creatures monograph are a near perfect fit and very affordable.

I'm getting excited. It's cool how this book came about, to fill the vacuum for a BRP sci-fi supplement, no need for a publisher or even a kickstarter. It's all underground and independent, it's awesome!!

Thanks I guess I should have done that.

If anyone hasn't seen this movie, you need to.

I was thinking of using one of those pdf print services to print it out with comb binding, but I'd much rather have a real POD book.

Here's Doctor Who Timelord character creation rules I helped make, though these were made specifically for Call of Cthulhu.
-
I wouldn't be too anxious.

With BGB version it does take a little more time, but that's what we use.
-
Always the GM, very seldom the Player.

I also have Hawkmoon! We recently finished an epic campaign of Stormbringer/Hawkmoon/Corum. Started with Tragic Millennium characters went to the Young Kingdoms and finished off with the Rouge Mistress campaign. It was so awesome! I wanted to keep playing but my group is currently disabled.

ooh, Elric and Corum.

Used to play a lot of WEG Star Wars and D&D3.x, though not seriously for 10 or more years. For the last ten years all strictly BRP related, everything from Stormbringer, Runequest 2 & 6, Magic World, Dragonlines, a homebrew fantasy and homebrew scifi/superhero settings made with BGB. CoC: (classic, modern, dark ages, wild west, 30's, 50's, Delta Green, The Laundry). Currently GMing World War Cthulhu

Yeah, if you get the BGB you can run all of that. Also a lot of other BRP games require it.
