  1. Nothing in the Guide about headhunters outside a reference to Lord Death On A Horse (the demigod ruler of the Kingdom of War).

And outside the sentence in RQA#5 "Engoli's Fold: This isolated spot is home to the much feared Headhunter Clan who worship O'tyan.", I don't remember anything else and of course, nothing at all in Engoli's Fold entry in Issaries's Dragon Pass - A Gazetteer of Kerofinela.

"The Fox King" is based on Foul King Brangbane of the Dinacoli tribe.
In recent The Coming Storm, you even have reference to the Fox clan of the Dinacoli tribe.

Related to the subject: an old John Hugues point of view about "Why would anyone hunt heads?"

If I remember the story right.

The owners of an old and long out of business miniature company called Archive miniatures came up with two  figures called Barbarian Duck and his old lady as a novelty item. This was BEFORE Runequest.

The  owners of Archive miniatures where friends with Greg Stafford and co and for fun decided to come up with a way to add the Ducks to Glorantha so people could use the minitiarure . I used to own a number of Archive miniatures as they where the original Glorantha  miniatures.

Story by Steve Perrin is here (from 22 minutes):

  3. For Griffin Mountain, classic version integrates what was added in (otherwise far less complete) Griffin Island box (mainly better PNJ descriptions, new ones, better citadel descriptions and additional plans), except Soldier Port (which has been moved to Teleos, see Guide p 576).

And for Borderlands & Beyond, background info from Nomad Gods wargame has been integrated.

I think that most often the Essence plane is entered via  a dream or vision, or by a process of deliberate scrying and meditation.

Hum, I'm a bit confused with the Essence Plane.

In HeroQuest 1 & 2, we had Essence Plane for sorcery:

    Quote

Wizards manipulate runes into spells powered by energy drawn from nodes in the Essence Plane.

In HeroQuest Glorantha (and the Guide), no mention AT ALL of that Essence Plane.

So, am I to believe the concept has been drop entirely?

  6. As an unfortunated hard drive crash wiped out my copy of it, I was wondering if great James Frusetta's Wonderhome (http://terpconnect.umd.edu/~gerakkag/rq.html) site had been archived somewhere.

Perhaps part of it will be in the future TrollPak?

  7. Yes, the new version is for HQ with an updated (and playable dixit Rick in Gencon 2013 video) craddle scenario and a lot more details on Big Rubble different parts.

Steve: We haven't forgotten about it. We have a lot going on right now. It's not dead, just pushed down the production schedule.

Cool. Let's hope project is not pushed down too far!
