I guess it would be a nice idea to have an article in Wyrm's Footnotes about Great Winter's impacts in the 6 homelands...

Just look in The Chaos Library part of the forum:
https://basicroleplaying.org/forum/58-the-chaos-library/ -
It seems to me the main goal of RQ:G is to attract new players to Glorantha, not necessarily please 40 years of previous players.
"Ancient" players will still be able to beneficit from the future new content anyway...- 1

It says that dragonewts are left handed, but doesn't mention that chaos is left handed, as was the case. We always used to joke that it was easy to detect an ogre as it would be left-handed.
I did not remember that one. Do you remember the source per chance (not in RQ2 Core book or Cults of Terror as far as I (and Ctrl F) know...) please?

Having not purchased RQG yet, I curious as to what is taking up those 400+ pages in the book? RQG is larger than RQ2, Cults of Prax, Cults of Terror and Gateway Bestiary combined.
I would say (great) art is taking at least 25% of all pages.

Nice comprehensive review, thanks!
It seems that no review mentionned that RQ:G is the perfect introduction to the Glorantha Sourcebook.
Outside the same layout and fonts, we understand now GSb choices and why some "basic" information was considered missing for complete newbies.
Hats off Jeff! -

Have just purchased my PDF copy direct from Chaosium and I can find nothing telling me I get a reduction on the hardback cost! Oh well!
Reduction coupon is sent when physical book is available.

From Sorcery thread:
Page 33: "determined By the Occupation table on page 63".
There is no ocuupation table on page 63.
Table has been moved page 28, where there is also a "Roll for your grandparent’s occupation on the Occupation table (page 63)," in first column.
The whole paragraph (p28) could be rewritten I guess...

My main question is, now that RQ is no longer focused on Prax and the Lunar occupation era, what will campaign play actually look like?
Back to basics: raiding cows / other herd beasts!

So it means no sleep next week-end for us as we'll be too busy to read & play!

See on the artist gallery ( Gillian Pearce ):

Details are also in Sartar Companion (p 28 to 39).Both books are highly recommended by the way (available here)!

Hum, looks like that Clearwine's map is quite different from the one in Sartar Kingdom of Heroes (page 279)...

ON RPGnet forum last month, Ian mentionned Dragonrise for Sartar and Fonrit outside Sartar.

Now that the Eleven Lights book is available in hardcover at Chaosium, here are two old design notes by Ian:

Let's get back to all the excitement!
The main thing, of course, being the "really really exciting news that we should be announcing soon2" that no one has mentioned yet and no one has tried guessing about! Any guesses? The ghost of Gary Gygax has converted to Runequest and is writing an adventure? The Design Mechanism are going to publish RQG adventures?
A gloranthan boardgame or even line at FFG?

Soon on paper perhaps?

In Europe, HQ sourcebooks were also reprinted by Cubicle 7. But also OOP...

The Guide says it is just Arim the Pauper emulating Orlanth courting the goddess Sorana Tor.

No issue with certificate from my side (access to pages or account login), with Chrome and FF. Perhaps a cache issue from your side?

I don't have the map that came with the Heortland issue of Tradetalk. I'm not sure how to source a copy but it would be treasured (and consulted) if it can be provided.
Hum, I was a TT subscriber at the time and never got / heard of that map...

No pdf for now. Fabian was looking for Ian Thomson recently so perhaps there is hope one day...
