  1. I’m always hesitant of giving anyone one but Chalana Arroy sleep

You might want to check your common rune magic list.  Some you list are not.  Just move them down into cult rune spells.  It certainly makes sense they have it.  And no Extension in common?

Ah, I see, no we played these as separate spells, so you couldn't dispel the Protection effect of Shield, you had to dispel the Shield spell. Similarly, Shield 2 Protection 4 had to be dispelled as 2 separate 4 point spells. Again, in the Sheidl 4/Berserker combo, you get an effective Countermagic 10, which is nice, but had to dispel the Shield 4 with Dispel Magic 8 and Berserker with Dispel Magic 4. What generally happened was that a Priest used Multispell 3 with 4 Dispel Magic 8s to strip most spells away. The removal of stacking limits in RQG negates that tactic somewhat, but it would still be very useful.

We play the same way.  Different spells need individual dispels.  Just because they might have effects that stack together does not combine them into a single spell to be dispelled.  Easier to keep track of that way also.  And you did have to dispel the whole spell.  So knocking down shield removed all of it's effects.

If you want to summon them all at once, yes.

Yes of course.  You could fill them over the course of many seasons.  But regardless it still takes 10 rune points over some period of time to do, which is what I was trying to say.  And a whole bunch of permanent POW to create 10 binding echantments!

I presume not, since Dodge is an option in place of a parry, and if you can't parry you can't dodge? (I'm inferring and guessing here, but that's what I came up with.)

I’d assume not as parrying has to do with using a weapon or shield that you attacked with.  Dodge uses no weapons.  That’s how it works in my mind at least.

Hero Labs is very configurable (haven't used it for a while so I'm not in the loop of future development), we used it for Pathfinder with a lot of houserules, additions and stuff. I was suprisingly easy to hack when you got the basics.

Where this gets messy is when you run it on multiple devices.  Keeping them in sync (especially my iPad and then any of the players setups) became too hard to manage.  So we stick with standard.

Interesting question, but I don't think so. If you want to spend 10 POW on 10 binding enchantments, I don't think you need 10 Rune Points as well.

Well I would think you need the 10 rune points to summon the elementals.  But then they would come back as the summons really is finished at that point as someone else pointed out.

Right, but a command spell with extension would tie up Rune points because it’s a ongoing spell effect.

Once you command the elemental into the binding item the command would be done also I would think.  No need to extend it at all.  You would then later on release it and cast a new command spell I think.

  8. I also think they expect you to make binding items for your summoned spirits and elements and have them ready to go.  Then in a combat you only need to release and command it.  Not cast a summon spell also

Which leads me to wonder if I summon an elemental and bind it into an item, do I get the rune points back as the summons is not finished?  This is in reference to the new rune rule document.

That is not correct unless with very old equipment. I have the original PDF on my Ipad which is an old model (3-4 years). It is very quick, no issues. Using Adobe Reader app.

I have an iPad Pro and it is very noticeable in the speed difference here.  Did you actually try and compress and compare?

Why would I want to lower the quality of the PDF? It's not slow to page through, at least not on my computer.

I doubt you will notice the quality difference at all.  You will notice how much faster you can page through it.  Especially on a table device or something like a net book.

I just heard back from them, and they've said they have no current plans to sell individual dice. They've done so in the past, and it's always been to the detriment of pack sales, which is their focus. That said, they've got very ambitious plans for the RQ line, and I'm suggesting a second "expansion" pack with multiple d6s in it, perhaps a deluxe "all in one" set that has everything in both boxes plus a couple of extra d6s.

Sorry to hear this.  Just seems to me that having more d6 available at least as they are used in character creation would be good and not impact set sales.  In this case with me and my group they have lost sales of sets because of this decision.  Even something as simple as a set of two d6 so we have 3 when you add a complete set seems to make sense.

It's on the boat. We'll have to clarify in future print runs and via a FAQ.

An on going FAQ for the rules would be fabulous.  Especially if it included examples.  Then it would be completely clear.

"Any adventurer using a weapon in each hand may use them for two attacks, two parries, or one attack and one parry. "

To me I think he is simply saying that if you use both weapons in parry mode, you can not use them in attack mode.  But you can then parry with each of them as much as you like with the -20% for each successive one.  Much the same as if you attack with one weapon, you can then parry with the other at -20% for each successive one, not just one parry and done.

Two colours. And still looking fairly reasonable in terms of legibility. (I'd probably struggle a bit with the "tens" die if I used "tens" dice.)

I never use the "tens" dice either.  I just use different colored "d10" dice.  And with this coming in 2 different colors, that is now possible!   Just wish it came with three of the d6 dice.  Or they give a way to buy extra d6 perhaps.

Looking at the newest version (there's a newer one since I downloaded last), it seems to be getting bigger.  According to its properties, it also hasn't been optimised.

I find quite a few pdfs (from various companies) can be a bit slow on the iPad.  I've got into the habit of feeding them through adobe acrobat pro and optimising them for online publishing.  On my tablet I've noticed no decline in visual quality, but I've sure noticed some big speed improvements in rendering!

No pay version of Adobe Pro here.  I use FoxIt Reader.  Can't seem to find a way to optimize in it.  Will keep looking.

I noticed that rpgnow had a new version.  I'd bought it from Chaosium, so I hightailed over to their website, and downloaded the new version.

I've noticed this new version renders much slower than the previous also.  Anyone else notice this?
