  1. Monsters of Legend is now available via DrivethruRPG.com. You can grab a copy at; Monsters of Legend 2 - Mongoose | Legend | DriveThruRPG.com There are many mundane and supernatural beasts in the world, and there are those which push the boundaries of power in many ways. Some of the beings inside this book are true Monsters of Legend, power-houses of brute strength, demonic masters who shake mountains with their footsteps. These are monsters which seasoned adventurers should fear, respect and challenge in epic confrontations. This book provides Game Masters with a resource for truly legendary and memorable encounters, from the powerful servitors of astral beings to the horned lackeys of the deepest and darkest Hells. There are new constructs, beasts and more within these pages. Some of these creatures could be adapted by Game Masters who want to use them as playable races in their campaign worlds. However, many are truly unique powers who have preyed on mortals for centuries. Like the Legend Core Rulebook, Monsters of Legend 2 is released under the Open Game Licence.
  2. Gladiators of Legend is now in print. You can grab a copy at; Gladiators of Legend - Core Rulebooks & Accessories - Legend - RPGs This book provides you with everything you need to know in order to integrate the world of the arena into your existing campaigns. It covers the arenas themselves and the people behind them – stable masters, nobles, arena managers and, of course, the gladiators. Five fully detailed arenas are provided, ready to be slotted into any town, city, or even dungeon. There are new rules to reflect the vicious combats that take place on the sands. Rules for chariots and their racing are also given alongside other, more esoteric matches. All these new rules may also be used by adventuring parties as they delve into deeper urban mysteries or traverse the harshest wilderness. Gladiators themselves may work hard for the fame and glory they deserve and, possibly, their freedom too. Finally, there is Sands of Death, a complete mini-game based on the Legend core rules. Players each take the part of a stable master, training and grooming their gladiators in the hopes of making their fortunes within the arena. Gladiators of rival stables fight through a huge variety of matches, gradually gaining experience and skill as their stable masters continue to rake in the gold pieces from their appearances.

  16. It is all Open Content? In that case, if I were you, I would release it for Legend pronto (even if only a PDF), because there is every chance someone else might. I would also point out that Mongoose has, in the past, scooped up vast portions of OGC and re-published them as compilations. Not saying we _would_ for Merrie England (we have absolutely no plans to), but we could, and we have form
  17. Don't worry too much about that - the _only_ reason we can do books this size for that price is because the material is already written (mostly) and paid for. New Legend books will be around the 128-140 page mark.

  20. Not to muddy the waters here further (!), but Mongoose is actually two legal entities, one based in the UK, the other in the US. So we can be whatever we want to be, really As for whether we would want to enter these waters... Well, I think we would give it a punt, though I don't know if we would be offering the same advance we did in the past...
  21. The mechanics aren't right for it. Warhammer needs to be Warhammer.
  22. We are just waiting for the final text to come in - we are then fast tracking it and, as our printers have a four day turnaround on these books, there is every chance it will see Christmas!
