  1. I understand Rick, and thanks for clarifying...I have a lot of year's in the logistics and fulfilment industry, so I get it. I read into the announcement above that stock was in the UK for retailers to have their orders fulfilled, but that incorrect assumption was mine. My original post was enquiring of end-users if any actual customers had received books here yet.

Malleus Monstrorum is in stock in our UK warehouse for direct sales on Chaosium.com. Unfortunately, for the reasons Leisure Games gives above, we currently don't have sufficient stock in the UK to be able to send it out into retail distribution there. We are working finding an optimal way to get more stock into the UK.

Ah, I get you...Chaosium have stock for direct retail sales, but resellers haven't received stock yet? That makes more sense, thanks for clearing that up  🙂

  3. Has anyone in the UK actually received theirs? I ordered mine from Leisure Games months ago (and paid for it, I might add), and whilst I received the pdfs recently, on chasing up the hard copies this weekend was informed:

"The distributors have put out a statement about delays to many lines brought about by several factors, mainly in this case delays at ports due to both Covid and Brexit."

which seems at odds with MOB's statement above that it's in stock in the UK warehouse. Is it available over here or not, does anyone know?

  4. Our fortnightly online game is ongoing, and our Keeper is running The Saturnine Chalice (successfully, I might add!)

But there's drinking as we play...and the Keeper can't help mispronouncing the word Sanity. Hearing someone ask for Sanitary Checks every time is hilarious!

Hi Kross, I'm in the US and would love to follow up on this, if you don't mind sharing the info with me. Only if it doesn't work out with Mr Emsley, of course. I wouldn't want to interfere with him.

Okay...lets get the image of random people on the internet interfering with me out of our heads! 😁

They emailed back and won't ship internationally, so help yourself mate 🙂

If you're in the US, I can put you in touch with a local game/comic shop that has the London box AND Curse of Nineveh, both brand new in shrink.

I'm a Brit, im afraid, but MORE than willing to pay shipping charges if they be willing to mail internationally...?

For me the 40th anniversary is an excuse to do special things. And if you don't view it that way, that's just fine. But I'm not sure why you'd deny anyone a desire to get special things?

I'm not sure I was denying anyone the desire to get anything. If that was the impression I gave, then I apologise for expressing myself poorly.

The thread was intended, I believe, for people to express what they would like to see this year, and for me there had been so much great content for 7e that I'd love to see the momentum continue with something new (cults) covering an element central to many campaigns, alongside an update of a classic (Dreamlands).

If people want anniversary special editions, then more power to 'em!

  8. So, browsing Amazon Prime Movies and I come across a film called Hex.  The synopsis reads:

"During the English Civil War, two opposing soldiers find themselves trapped in a forest controlled by a witch."

Anyone seen it or know anything about it??  Seems like a Clockwork & Chivalry scenario to me...

  9. Here's the item in question

I GM mainly historically-based games (Renaissance Deluxe being my usual weapon of choice) - very much low fantasy, but I do like to have some subtle magic in play.  I came across Enlightened Magic: Sorcery & Alchemy Rules Based on Western Occult Traditions, and it reads well but does anyone have any experience of using it in play?  Magic can be quite complex, once you start taking into account the seasons, day of the week (even hours of the day if you want to drill down that far), location, rituals and magical connections, even the colour of clothes your character is wearing!

Just wondered how much use a system like this sees at the table.
