Nozbat
There has been a lot of discussion about tax systems in Glorantha and elsewhere and I thought I'd share the tax on Salt taken from historical documents ( @Joerg )and made up (me) to be used in 1520: Renaissance. As background, Salt was the major produce of Lüneburg and was sought after for preserving the fish caught in the Baltic region and salted at the Skåne Market before being transported around Europe. Preserved fish was one of the major sources of wealth for the Hanseatic League. I've included the Word document if anyone wants to use it Taxes on Salt production Each pan produces 3600 shillings (s) of Salt from Saline evaporation The Salt workers are contracted to sell the salt produced to the Salt Factors operating from the Salzspeicher in Lübeck.
