MOB
We mourn the passing of TSR veteran James M. Ward, who recently passed away at the age of 72. Jim was an important figure in the history of tabletop roleplaying games - he was one of the first players at Gary Gygax's Dungeons & Dragons table as the game took form, and co-authored its fourth-ever release, Gods, Demigods and Heroes (1976). Jim also blazed the TTRPG trail by creating of the first science fantasy roleplaying game Metamorphosis Alpha (1976), and co-authoring Gamma World, the first post-apocalyptic TTRPG (1978). He will also be remembered as the co-author of the renowned Dungeons and Dragons release Deities & Demigods (1980), and author of Greyhawk Adventures (1988), among many other creative endeavours across TTRPGs, card games, and fiction. James M. Ward leaves a memorable legacy. Our condolences go to his family and friends — Chaosium Inc. Edited March 19 by MOB 1
