TRose
At present Warmachine/Hordes is the big game around here( I just started.) And we where talking about running an RPG in the Iron Kingdom.. Most people I talked to think the Iron Kingdom RPG is waste of a good tree and I really don't care much for D20. Was just wondering if the clockwork rules could be used (with a few changes) for the Warjacks in War machine.
Simlasa
I'd be curious about that as well. I don't know much about either game/setting but I do like the idea of big clockwork/steam automatons and the visuals of Warmachine are quite inspiring toward some psuedo-historical weirdness.
Simlasa
Actually, the OP has spurred my interest enough to splurge on a copy of C&C. It seems like a good adjunct for the 30yrs war-ish Magic World game I've been running (previously using Lamentations of the Flame Princess)... if I can see a path toward dragging in some of the Warmachine OTT stuff then all the better. Simlasa
OK... after giving the C&S book a quick read (very cool setting/book!).. I'm not seeing its clockworks as a clear path to Warmachine's Warjacks. The stuff in C&S doesn't seem nearly as autonomous or humanoid and there's no obvious role for a Warcaster either. I'm thinking Warjacks might be better served by expanding some rules for golems... 'Steam Golems' and their Warcaster creators.
Ade
Now, there's a thing that might be interesting for me to write up for C&C/Renaissance... Clockwork/Steam Mecha
