I would point out magic item creation is better spelled out in D&D, with the exception of the Wizards Staff in MW and some smaller power items in supplements like The Witch. In the MW campaign setting, magic items are rare

A Lot of the content in this thread deserves its own thread š

Been pushing for MW on Herolab as well. Closest they got was cthulu with some BRP tabs.

The material/supplements I've created (that are allowed here) are located on page one of this thread š

Updated my Magic World Character Generator to version 2.0!
New sheets, lots of fixes and additions. Cleaned it up.
Added abbreviated spell descriptions to spell lists
Added a few coins from other systems. Platinum, copper, tin and auto fill for exchange rates
Autifil weapon and armor stats
Added Feats from my Feats Supplement (but you can delete this sheet if not using it)
Also added a printer friendly version of the character sheet. Not as pretty but less ink

How is this useful?
TRUTH OF LOVE (3)
Range: Sight and hearing, to a maximum ofĀ
100 yards
Resisted: MP:MP
Only those with allegiance to Light can learn or cast this spell. Matching MP:MP on the resistance table, the caster causes the targetĀ to express or realize that which is dearest toĀ him or her: a person, animal, honor, decency, money, fighting, an allegiance, gettingĀ drunk, Light, Shadow, and so on. Once theĀ person has expressed that love, he or sheĀ is unable to think of much else until UndoĀ Magic or similar effects erase the compulsion, or until 3D3 days have passed. AdeptsĀ
of Light are taught this spell. -
Same question about Attack skill %. Are they chopped up because of multiple attacks in a round?
Ā
PAIN DIVINE (4)
Range: Self
Resisted: No
When cast, this spell sets all of the nerveĀ
endings in the casterās body alight with eldritch energy. The sensation makes theĀ
sorcerer jumpy, jittery, and full of energy.Ā
While in combat, every time the sorcererĀ
is injured (that is, a hit that isnāt parried orĀ
dodged, and damage gets past armor,) heĀ
or she may immediately make an extra attack at the party responsible for the injury,Ā
as though he or she was riposting with aĀ
critical parry. Also, more than one extra attack may be made this way.Ā
Note that this spell takes precedence overĀ
any actual ripostes, and the sorcerer canĀ
only make extra melee attacks (no missileĀ
weapons) at the party responsible for theĀ
injury.Ā -
I assume this lasts POW in combat rounds? Thats pretty impressive since it doesn't require a resistance roll. Yeah?
Ā
REFLECTION (9)
Range: Self Resisted: No
This spell blocks magic otherwise affectingĀ
the Sorcerer, mirrors it, and sends back theĀ
intruding magic to its caster. The reflectionĀ
magic operates at full strength against itsĀ
caster, who functions as target.
However, each time a spell reflects backĀ
from Reflection, the Magic Points poweringĀ
reduce by one. At no time does ReflectionĀ
work against spells powered by more MagicĀ
Points than it is.
During that time, it affects all spells, friendly or not, in the same fashion. -
So you get to attack until you miss and get very sleepy afterwards. But do attacks still have their % cut following each after the first? Couldn't you do that without a spell?
RIGHTEOUS FURY (5)
Range: Touch
Resisted: No
The caster must possess a positive LightĀ
Allegiance score. This spell may only beĀ
cast when knowingly facing a follower ofĀ
Shadow. Once cast, for the duration of theĀ
casterās POW in combat rounds, the targetĀ
may continue to make attack rolls until theyĀ
miss. The first such attack is on the characterās normal DEX rank, the next on the nextĀ
lowest rank, and so on until any miss resultĀ
is rolled. The character may not Dodge orĀ
Parry. -
Wanted to start a thread about spell interpretations. Some of Advanced Sorcery spells can use opinions on rules and don't wanna bog down the page with individual posts.

I, in contrast, have *NOT* read it; but reading here makes me think strongly that a treatment with R-Maps -- lots and LOTS of R-Maps! -- for neighborhoods, for guilds, for families, etc, would be a huge advantage in a work like this.
All mutually hyperlinked, of course, between individuals' text listing in each Section, and the R-Map(s) where they appear...There are quite a few hyperlinks throughout but...its a free project afterall š

I'll offer asĀ honest an assessment as I can. Because this much work deserves a response.
Yeah this supplement definitely didn't have the standard "GMs should read through the whole module before playing" preface.
Ā I appreciate your critique! Kinda disappointed about your view on the layout. I really thought I made it as sectional as I could but...it is A LOT of details and things overlap quite a bit between NPCs, quests, ect.
Ā I really thought a game master could throw down a map of the town for players during a visit to the town and have anything readily available that they were looking for with a simple search through the PDF by the chronicler. That's how I've been doing it anyway. Players want to find a cobbler? Maybe they ask a guard or a random citizen and the chronicler searches the PDF. BOOM. The NPC tells the characters its up that street to the left. Maybe the players stumble into one of the quests along the way.Ā
Ā It is a monster tho. I'llĀ admit. My own players still haven't scratched the surface.
Again, thanks for the review tho. Gives me stuff to think about if I try something else.

So it's almostĀ been a year since I finished this massive project. 100+ of you awesome people downloaded it. Am curious if anyone actually read thru or hosted a game inside Tindales borders.
What did you think of the layout? The descriptions? The quests? The NPCs?Ā
Constructive Criticism welcome as always.

Ā Scotty is 100% correct here, you wonderful people. Most of the details, descriptions, ect are also not my own words. I merely took everything there and made it more BRPish.Ā
Heck even some of the critters are copyright material owned by Wizards.
I took a month or so and converted most everything from THEIR books.
THEIR books.
Wasn't selling anything or taking "donations" so I figured no one would care (litigation wise) and those books I made were available here a long time.
Chaosium is a MUCH bigger fish than little old me and need to watch what they make available on their website.
I never received a cease order from Wizards but Scotty may have saved me from that. Thank you Scotty/Chaosium!
I also put in those books I threw together,Ā that I only made them to help with my home campaigns and figured others could use them. That you can change whatever you like in them to suit you. If you guys wanna take any of the material I posted and change anything I don't mind.
You don't need my permission if you wanna take it all, rewrite it, omit copyright material, or whatever else.
Just play this great game Chaosium gave us and enjoy it!

Nick ain't wrong āļø
I even put on the forward (of all my books) that I yanked all the images from other artists around the internet.Ā
Of course I didn't really think anyone would care since no $ changed hands and those images can be viewed ANY time with a simple Google search.

Can't you just remove the art from the file?
Yeah I COULD...but not sure I want to go through all of that. It was downloaded quite a few times. People either already have copies or can share. *shrug*
I dunno. I might

* SIGH *
Looks like big brother has finally caught up with me.Ā
I've been told my Damn Big Book of Monsters is being removed because of copyright pics included within the pages.Ā
All of my projects containĀ other people's great art, so will likely be removed as well.
Hope some of ya found a use for the stuff š
