Can't give credit and I am in no way affiliated,, but I personally appreciate the work any and everyone does to help bring new works to my gaming table. Thank you for your contribution!
*Dons mantle of protection from stoats *
Sir, you do not require a mantle of protection from stoats, for you are blessed by the Bringer of Stoats, and need not fear their furry little fury!

When a Chaosium staffer, or a freelancer, is devoured by a plague of angry stoats you will know the terrible price for igniting the ire of The Bringer of Stoats! For you have brought mustelid doom upon yourselves!!!

It would have been nice to have been given some credit for proofreading part of Advanced Sorcery.

I finally found two places in the UK where you can get it as a book. The first is Foyles bookshop, and the second is Amazon UK. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/1568823460/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1_olp?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1399466848&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=lords+of+tarsa+monograph+chaosium&condition=new

Note to Chaosium. Please put this monograph out as a PDF, thanks. http://catalog.chaosium.com/index.php?cPath=70&&page=1Lords of Tarsa Chaosium Inc.Looks as if Chaosium has a new print run in the works. Is supposed to be available ... today!

Ravagers of the Realms at £2! It doesn't get much better than that!
-
I would like to see a version of ER that has BRP style write ups for the charcters in it.
-
Does magic in MRQ and Legend differ? And if it does, does it differ substantially?
-
Does the Mongoose Monster Encyclopedia 1: Ravagers of the Realms have illustrations for every monster described?
-
I can relate with you here. I got the PDF from DTRPG and didn't feel the monsters in it were topnotch. I kinda feel that they would go over better if they were introduced via an adventure.
I agree with you on some of the monsters but others, like the Unraveller and Sentinel are pretty weird. I like the cosmology and planar items section too. They are just right for expanding my gameworld so that it doesn't get boring. ;D ;D

If you look the supplement is Monsters of Legend, not Monsters of Legend 2. It doesn't matter now anyway. Mongoose _Publications sent me a copy! :)orcs nest:http://www.orcsnest.com/index.asp
Have some, but that's probably only useful if you live near London...

I got a refund from Mongoose_Publications as my order did not appear. Does anyone know of a UK shop that has actual books of this supplement to sell? I could easily get the pdf but I want the book.
-
Amazon has it. Ships from Mongoose.
Not from Amazon UK. I ordered one and it didn't turn up. I wonder if there are any actual books printed off yet?

Okay, right up my alley, my degree's in electronics!
Energy is measured in a unit called the watt. Now the watt is a fairly small unit of energy (about the amount it takes to heat up one cubic centimeter of water by 1 degree C, each second). So generators, and powerplants usually put out many, many watts. Since the watt is a metric term, one thousand watts is referred to as a kilowatt (kW), and a million watts is called a megatwatt (MW). So that is what BRP Mecha is asking for.
I hope you mean megawatt. A "megatwatt" is probably what female kaiju have!

I have just noticed that the two masted galley on page 145 of Magic world lists the same errata as Sailing on the Seas of Fate for the ship hull quality, which should be 3d6 not 120. http://basicroleplaying.com/archive/index.php/t-2807.html

Happy new year everybody. Magic World is my game right now, but I'm looking for a sci fi game to run using the BGB rules in 2014.
-
Can you make small mecha like the ones in Mekton Raodstriker with BRP Mecha?
-
Stoatbringer, thanks! Both for the update and inferred editing.
Obviously, Zomben thought it needed a second pair of eyes, and a high level of the Search skill, just to make sure that it was extra extra extra errata free.

I know that some proofreading was done on it very recently.

That intimidating hulk in the corner? You don’t know what he’s capable of, but you don’t particularly want to find out...
Why do the words "I ain't gettin' on the back of no griffin, Hannibal!" come to mind when I read your post?

Nice! Those are great books, where'd you score them?
My FLGS. "Score them" makes it sound like a drug deal... The scene : a seedy backstreet alleyway in a rundown part of town. "Got any D101 mate?" " I got plenty mate, what do you want?" "Can you do me some Life & Death and an ounce of The Savage North?" "Yeah mate, its good stuff...."

thanks for the review. I always say that with the BGB, you don't really need to buy anything ever again, so I'm sure I don't need it, but I want it anyway.
One thing that Smiorgan missed in his brilliant and concise review of MW is that you also get seafaring rules (ship stats, shipboard combat, and survival at sea) which you don't get in the BGB.

Can you please link to the specific post to save us all having to trawl through the RPGsite?
Credit where its due.

I know it wasn't as much of a contribution as some of the people that added ideas on such things as arete, but it would have been nice to be mentioned. Thanks for the appreciation. Skunkape.
