  1. I'd be all over Rogue Games' Colonial Gothic if they released their game's material in new editions using C&W's Renaissance rule set.  (I just don't have the time to pick-up a whole new rule system whereas Renaissance being D100 is pretty straight forward.)

The problem of the 12° system isn't that it's particularly complicated or fiddly, but as much as I love Colonial Gothic I have to say they could've done a better job explaining the rules in a more consistent manner, even in the much improved 2nd edition of the rulebook. I agree that Colonial Gothic using the Renaissance rules would be awesome.

  2. I like BRP well enough, but it sounds like Eden Studios' All Flesh Must Be Eaten RPG can do everything you want straight out of the box, especially if you also pick up the One of the Living supplement. Even if you're intent on sticking to BRP as a rules set One of the Living may be worth picking up for reference as it's really thorough. As for the AFMBE core rulebook, the only difference between first and revised edition is that there's directions for d20 in the back of the latter, so you'll be perfectly fine using an older edition.

  3. I'm glad you enjoyed The Depths of Winter :)

FYI, the sequel, The Breaking of Spring, has been written  - but I imagine it will be a week or two before we can get it set and uploaded.

A kind of French & Indian Wars mini-setting supplement to go with these would be nice!

The French & Indian War book for the Colonial Gothic RPG is pretty thorough, so it may be of interest to people planning to run these adventures. Link: Colonial Gothic: The French & Indian War.
