Do we think this maybe the roost of the immortal part of the Half bird? or could it be the dead mate of the Halfbird? Looking at the Halfbird again it looks more like a proto-gloranthan document roughly as old as Snodalsaga . . . I do not know how the dwarves fit in but they are all over this. Your guess is as good as anyone's! Roost of the immortal part of the Half bird or its mate sounds good. The Tree likely died in the Gods War, and departed for the Underworld.
