In honour of the the  "IndigeNerds" on the this site I thought I would mention that we here north of Valind's Glacier (the Turtle Island nation known as Canada) are commemorating "the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation" to remember the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

While we are here for an imaginary world every now and again I like to  remind folks the real world needs heroes now more than ever! So why only play a hero in a game when you can also be one in real life as well!

It is a bit of a rant isn't it?

Worthy of a read for a chance to ponder the question of cultural appropriation again (or for the first time).

I mean... it's also just a frustrated games-dev & geek,
who can't get (some) people to engage with the game
because of (what they see as) silly reasons ...

(At my request to my family BTW:  this game was my Fathers-Day present this year)

Oh, I have the *best* family!

For my birthday one year -- 30-odd years ago -- my wife gave me a birthday surprise of my very-1st trip to DunDraCon; it has since become something of a birthday tradition.   😀

For those who don't know, this is one of the very-most-ancient of RPG-centric events.  It's where The Perrin Conventions  first gained widespread attention, and Steve himself was on the Con Committee... last year was DDC #45, and they called it "The Perrin Convention" in his honor.
