Scout
Chaosium lists (pdfs): Magic World at £14.92 Advanced Sorcery at £9.17 Rpgnow lists (pdfs): Magic World at £18.73 Advanced Sorcery at £10.10 Any reason why, is it to encourage you to buy from Chaosium? tobarstep
There doesn't seem to be much reason behind it. Most titles are cheaper from Chaosium, but I've found some that were cheaper on DriveThru/Rpgnow. Not only that, but in some cases download links on Chaosium's site will expire after a certain number of downloads or time limit. I doubt they could enforce that same stipulation via a 3rd party site like DriveThru.
Nick J.
Well one thing to consider is that DriveThru/RPGNow are going take their cut, which reduces the amount of money that actually ends up in Chaosium's pocket. There's also another benefit to the Chaosium PDFs; no watemark (which I hate).

nclarke
I was assured that the Chaosium site no longer limits the number of downloads of a pdf and the reason is surely the cut that DTRPG/RPGNow charge for the hosting etc. 1 Quote Nigel

Plus another that has 3 downloads remaining.
nclarke
It could have been Mike or Jeff that mentioned the removal of download limits (might have been Dustin but Mike and Jeff are more likely). Quote Nigel
