  1. While investigating the upload bug I found a major download bug too. Waiting for IPB staff support on both.
  2. smjn found the answers. Thank you smjn!
  3. Just bought it. HUGE file, currently waiting for it to download. I'm using A-State to as a banished Clanking City in my Gloranthan campaign, Dark Streets will fit right in with it too I hope! Tell us more about the forthcoming Terror of the Toad campaign!
  4. Thank you, I'll have a look at it later today!
  5. Thank you, I'll go looking into it. Is this error affecting all members? EDIT: Got it fixed. Thanks for reporting it kreider204!
  6. The hive moved some time ago, from the dying vBulletin software to IPB, and from basicroleplaying.com to basicroleplaying.org. Such moves are always troubled by new bugs. Please report any bugs you encounter in this thread so I can adress them. BUGLIST: Downloads: Several files not found, probably lost during transition. Fix: Request authors to reupload the files. Delete the files if no response is forthcoming. Reported files: 141-hit-locations 402-pulp-edges-for-legend Forum: Old product lists in all subforums, with faulty links. Need updating and link correction. Notifications about new posts fome from IPB and not BRP Central. Email to admin does not work. RSS feed problem. After accidental "like", member reporst not being able to "unlike" a post. Old table tag doesn't work anymore.
  7. As the vBulletin software is slowly dying, we're moving to IP.Board - which seems better in most ways. I ran into an issue trying to convert the database, so we're on a short hold while I get support from the tech guys. The forums will be down during the conversion. Once the move is completed, we'll be located at basicroleplaying.org. A script will be left at basicroleplaying.com to redirect all those trying to reach old threads to the new URLs. So, pack all your eggs and larvaes, the Hive will soon be on the move!
  8. Goddamn hackers! Okay, change passwords and increase security!
  9. Hi all! Seems like our antispam software has been a bit hyperactive lately. While protecting us from hordes of cheap kitchen supplies, potency pills and whatnot, it has also gobbled up some valid posts, probably being oversensitive to links. Anyway, they're restored now and I'll try to adjust Spam-o-matic! a bit when I'm back in Norway again. Cheers, Trifletraxor.
  10. BRP Central have just been backed up. Leaving for 3 weeks in Thailand tomorrow, hopefully there'll be no hickups in my absence. Been way to inactive here lately due to work, but plan to get more active again. I'll be at Eternal, Continuum and Kraken this year. Hope to see some of you fine people there! Cheers, Trifletraxor
  11. Cubicle 7 is doing a kickstarter for a Boxed set for London with lots of goodies! Just joined the kickstarter today myself. Check it out: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/461807648/cthulhu-britannica-london-call-of-cthulhu-rpg-boxe
  12. If vBulletin 5 shapes up, a transfer to that version would be seamless. So far the integrated wikis or mediawiki bridges I've seem for both vBulletin and IPB are 3rd party products which might not get continued support from the developers. It would be possible to set up a separate mediawiki, but then members would have to register and login to that separately. I've testet IPB now, and so far it looks like better software than vBulletin. All forum and blog posts would transfer fine, but the download section would have to be transferred manually IPB's download software. Both vB5 and IPB are much easier to read on a cell phone. Very nice! Beyond me, but I would host it in a second if anyone coded something like that!
  13. Welcome to the forums ilexgarodan!
  14. Hi all! BRP Central is now running on vBulletin 4 software and has been for some time. It's starting to show its age, as viewing it on a phone works pretty bad. I have a license for the vBulletin 5 software, but it's still too bug-filled to be any use. It could be an option if the developers manage to iron it out though. Invision Power Board is another option. I should be able to transfer posts from this forum to that pretty easy. I'm going to try it out for another forum first though, to get a feel for it before I consider it for BRP Central. Other types of software may also turn up to be candidates. An important question here is what kind of functionality you would like to see in the future? What are the most important aspects of this site's software to you? Cheers, Trifletraxor.
  15. Welcome to the forums Siege!
  16. New anti-spam measures taken. Tell me if it gives you any trouble.
  17. Yup. The basic forum software is vBulletin, but I had a 3rd party add-on called vBSEO which in addition to SEO and link handling added the "like"-option. I found that the vBSEO software wasn't properly supported anymore, making it a security risk. I'm not sure what the entry point for the last hack was, but I removed it to be sure. Working now to stop the kitchen-spam-wave.
  18. Spammers banned! Probably gotta add some new security questions though.
  19. In case you wonder about the strange redirects these last days, yes, we got hacked again. The redirect to Chaosium was me overriding the redirect to the linkbucks site. We're up again, fresh new install and no malware or other stuff found on the scan. If you do notice anything strange (except that the URLs have changed, had to get rid of an old SEO plug-in), please do tell me though.
  20. Just became a High Priest! Really looking forward to this one!
  21. Where is the first one? My moderation is on slowmo as I'm roadtripping downunder at the moment, but I got rid of some kitchen spam yesterday. (Skydived for the first time too yesterday!) Cheers, Triff.
  22. We've rented a cottage for next weekend - for CottageCon Winter 2013 Whiskey Edition. Marriage Quest will be the main fokus of attention (in addition to whiskey of course!)
