  1. I see this as an operatunity for several old Game to be revived into basic roleplaying system. Just a few games out thier that would rock in the BRP system Justifiers Star Fronters AFTERMATH Other suns Villians and Vigilaties Space opera Traveller a revised and expanded superworld Gamma World Boothill Adventures in Fantasy Top Secret Man, Myth and magic THieves World Conan second age of Atlantis just to name a few!

In the twisted waste lands of another Space and time there is the final civilization. This empty barren place is home to the last free territory of the World Order. A one world government that came into power after the Great world wars of the 20th century. Many Generations later after the last Great war used Nukes instead of bullets and bombs, the world order took control of the remaining cities and supplies and declared martial Law. The World Order legal Forces ( W.O.L.F.) Took over like storm troopers, and outlawed civilian air transport and Grand vehicles. Now is 2276 and the last territories are the Barren wasteland where the only free people are outlaws on out law machines running from W.OL.F These Rebels against Tyrannical System (R.A.T.S) Fight the last war of freedom as outlaw bikers and Panzer Boys and Girls in the Hellish badlands! The southern mid west and southwest are the last of the BADDLANDS, here small groups of raider gangs fight a mounting war of terror and gorilla warfare on the dirt roads and paved streets of ruins. This is normal level campaign using basic role playing system of d100. The percentage system of the game is easy to use. Player Characters are RATS outlaw bikers and mesh mashed Panzer Cars ( armed And Armored Vehicles) raiding WOLF forts and outpost to supplies their war against the Evil that is the world order lawful Federation and its World order legal force. There is no Good or Evil there is only Freedom!

  7. the actual so called playtest is not really need this setting is over 15 years old dating back to 1992, when i forst rain the concept for a world of darkness setting hunters hunted" but I do need experience game master to read over and let me know if suggestion and concept would greatly benefit them in BRP.   9. i well be spending next week working on image files and possible cover art to get to Dustin so he too can get an ideal of art. is there any place to post for local artist that might want to contribute to a mongraph- i can not pay anything but I can give them place in the Book credit and if it ever gose book they have a possibility of thier art getting choosen by Chaosium , I am new to the game publishing arena so I have a lot to get together! I am a tech head and tech manual writer!
  10. well it looks like Dustin approved the mongraph so we are moving on with Gravequest- I am going to see if I can set up a sub form here and let a few of you review and make suggestions on some of the playablilty of some concepts, because I plan on adding Perks quirks and Techniques into the setting as for background with out added to the rules. so who do you ask for a sub form?

  12. think about it a dresdin world type but with annita blake vampires in the open magic is real but it all 1800. ever read Alvin Maker by scott Card < i think that it> or go with Shadow run precepts we turn a corner in the galaxy one day and magic returns ! along with atlantis- Avolan-lumeria -Mu and people start changing into thier orginal speacies - 1 is the old physic laws still in play? 2 what laws and goverments would survive? 3 what if pyshic laws are incomplete and now magic is back thing are really diffrent! sorry I had to through my own ideals in there , i know you just asked us about yours, I like yours but really flesh them out more and see witch one come alive and witch one die on the table?

I keep looking for the perfect rpg, and keep coming back to Coc/brp. none are as flexible as BRPS<OOPS > WELL that what I AM USE TO CALLING IT! I have run everything from gangsters and druglord in BRP to post apoc fantasy! I have been useing UNisystem witch is really a good game but, some reason it don't click for me as much as BRP, i do not know why? at gencons Ifrom 2000-2004 I ran allfelsh must be eaten Manison Run- Two or three years ago I used CoC to do my manson run and it ran as well if not it seemed better the perfect intuitive game for beginners. maybe I well conver witchcraft over to it some day>? I have been gaming sense oh I think 1982-83 its all kind of fuzzy these days, and ofcourse we kind of made up the rules as we went because we didnt want to read the books! dyslexic gamers oh my! so it was about 16 that i realized thier was other games ! when I walked into my first FLGS- it was Lonestar comic and games in Dallas Texas! OMG i did not have enough money to buy all the games i wanted! I uhmm still don't I have a very tolerent Wife and my kids love gaming with me! but I MISS PEOPLE MY OWN AGE, kIDS SEEM TO ME THESE DAY TO BE to reactionary and not very proactive! I remeber when I first played Keep on the boarder line as a fighter, i rob the place blind and then went to the caves of choas, but then agin I was 13 and so was my DM! i HAVE BEEN GM"ING FOR 25 YEARS! NO WIZARDS ARE NOT PROHIBITED I like the concept that magic is a tool not a occupation so priest shamans and scholers all can have magic , i AM TRYING TO FIGURE A MAGIC system that is more skill based then extra ability! I am digesting some ideals right now . . . here are a few sorcery is a skill each percentage point of ten is a spell/technique< there sneaking thoses technique > when a person /player character chooses sorcery they choose a style under whitch style( i well list powers< this way i can take from powers psionics and spells, and list them under a style of sorcery.) a player character can always trade in a technique for a new style but like thier first style they still have to learn its techniques / spells. example players character has sorcery at 50 and they have Divination as a style and they have learned four techniques/spells and the Player character want to take up Conjuration< i am just throwing names out thier I have not made the styles up yet> they can forfeat a technique to take up a new style conjuration < if they have material on it or a master or teacher to help them, in game play> and they can now learn five conjuration techniques or spells because thier sorcery is 50 , well they can learn up to 5 <sorcery 50/10=5> now they still need to learn the techniques and they can raise thier sorcery to 60 or when they get to 5th technique/spell they can go find another teacher for another style. this give in game motivation and a game master controls the amount of spells they player can get in game. not as a mechanic soly because that is thier slots! Now magic points - I THINK POWER should be the score used for the maxium amount of energy you can channel at one time! depending on the amount you channel determines the amount of fatigue you lose and hitpoint you can take and sanity it may cost you! for example amount channeled fatigue a rd sanity hitpoints time 1/4rd power 1 0 0 2 rds 1/2 power 2 1 0 4 rds 3/4th power 3 1d2 0 6rds max 4 1d3 1 8rds +1 5 1d4 2 10rds +2 6 1d6 3 12rds +3 7 1d8 4 14rds typical sanity Checks are made and a sorcery skill check is made verse Channeling <how much power is in the are to tap into. > the more the harder to make it, if a failed channeling roll is a fumble then the sorcerier may not attempt again for 1d4 rounds. if it Critical fumble then its thier power verse the amount of the power channeled resistent roll failure is as if they did channel the power and could not direct it into a spell/technique and still suffer the effects of fatque sanity hitpoints and time! this is real rough guys I know did any one get it? what is your oppinion? too difficult? or not right for Conan?

  17. yes it was perfect for the cinematic stuff, and It was a good game, I do not like green eggs and d20 and starwars sage is a vast improvment is still not as hmmm inspiring as D6, but I find I can not play D6 anymore there is some kind of truama or somthing about it these days some form of ghost that haunts me even when i open a book, maybe its the simple fact that I have been gaming way too long! I must say somthing here - table top is fading and unless we as fellow games start encouraging young people to join us at the table and away form the consol and computer we lose as well as they do! my kids are 16,14,6,and 6 AND ALL BUT THE SIC YEARS OLD GAME , AND THE 6 YEAR OLDS i MADE UP A RPG JUST FOR THEM! IT USED PICTURES AND DRAWING TO HELP THEM LEARN to play, ADVENTURE ARE A STAGGERING 20MINUTES LONG Attention span!

I have been using Gravequest sense 1992 FOR SETTING UP WOD and CoC,I have used it as the central investagation of the FBI'S Twilight Group - when a young FBI Talent <PSYCHIC> named Carline Galloway left PROJECT TWILIGHT, she went to Austine College in Sheman Texas for a quit small town college enviroment, what she found thier was Gravequest! students disappearing and if they did reappear they where desturbed or comatosed , so having no other choice she contacted PT and they said they already had an agent on the scene. . . . her! and here is you associated team, Her Psychology Professior, and that how I ran the oppsite end of Gravequest, that is also how i got to know my future wife. Anne she was playing Caroline. we where married year and half later. I used it for my Darkmoon chronicles and I USED it as a springing board for mage the awakening/ and even to get people exposed to my UFO THRILLER Gate City, as you can see:)

This Setting has several angles ` as members find to their dismay the real supernatural world ` as the Victims of the organization, as a creature of the supernatural world ` as law enforcement on the trail of a insidious Criminal Organization ` or combination of all three! ` such as a group of talented young people hunting down a historic secret globe Hoping Crime syndicate. ` Such as UFO hunters tracking down Alien raiding parties ` Such as secret organization out to discovery A global Conspiracy to hide the end of the world! This is a normal level game counting on reality and normalization to feed the mechanization of a thriller and horror game, what secrets the Player characters discover is up to the GM , From ancient vampire cults to Charlatans out to defraud and scam others!   21. them seem a little light, can you expand a litle more on the Force stuff? how dose the Dice work? howmany do you get? how do you get them back? I have starwars saga and think that a conversion to BRP would be great and take a little work, but I am busy writing Grave quest and Conan BRP so I don't have time to do it now, but I have this really wierd ideal of running a starwars real action hero type game where Characters from our galaxy come over to the starwars galaxy with all thier movie plot knowledge! trying to desided Civil war or Clone war era? or knight of the old republic ? make it really fracky and let them have Jedi abilities too. .. its just some ideals I love Cross overs have ever sense I read Dragon and the George and Sleeping Dragon, and now after watching Forbidding Kingdom !!!!!

I had them post on the download, but its real basic" pun intended" the Techniques have prereg's that require specific skill and percentage before learning them, then you have to learn them form some one just like normal training. this is more in the game master areana so if they don't want the palyer running around gaining a technique all the time they can make them rare or if they want more jazzed up game they can be learned by encountering them being used on them! its still based on a successful skill use- so you still have to hit, doge or parry for them to fuction. no more no less then those requirments! right now I just have basic thing that a skill can't not do as an out and out task , like combination- " the coupling of two techniques togather such as double dodge and double strike, well you have to have double dodge and double stike first! this also allows for such moves as Cleave. but not meta game stuff like power attack. I may have not accomplish it but its just added a few extra choice to a player - its not for power gaming there is nothing that going to help if you really out numbered or already injured but I have only worked on combat oriented Techiques so far going to play test them first and see if they even fuction with out messing the game up or laying too much game on a player!

That Great I am doing this the hard way and staying way from Mongoose Conan as much as I can, but thier is a great d20 sight on Hyboria on the web call Hyboria d20 , and I am converting thier stuff to the BRP version. dose anyone know if Chaosium every had the right to conan I use to have a freach version of Conan done with BRPS. but that drive died a horrible death and I have not been abile to find it sense. <failed save vs lighting>

I have upload a rough ideal on skill techniques - they are basicly kata's or sub skills that a character can choose the higher thier skill, these allow such thing like Combinations and Cleave, Techniques one gains as you increase in skill and muscle responce,. I have found most rpgs are one way or the other to increadible or too simple to come even close to any thing real to how experience hand to hand fighters really work. THere are knife fighters out thier that take out five mean before one can turn and fire a shot, but like all such demostrations the conditions have to be right! so I figured why not include techniques, speacial attack movements you can choose when you skill get high enough. check them out I am no BRP Guru and can use all the help I can get on this concept:thumb:
