    I think the Elder Godlike approach is perfect for Mythras, since it's essentially a low-powered "factory" approach to building powers. It would need some more work. They could also take the  M&M approach, with generic effect-based powers, though I prefer the former (though the former is also easier to make for unbalanced powers).

    Generic horror mechanics would also be great, both for "you're in a horror situation" like Delta Green or Hunter the Vigil, or you're something with superpowers but things are still horrible, like Vampire the Requiem.

    LutherArkwright has very good horror mechanics built in to it.

    A 120mm gun (25kg shell mass) does 1d8 for conventional gun, 1d10 for a railgun. The damage is on the same scale used by Space.

    A 300-400mm gun (shell mass much bigger than 200kg) does 2d8 for a conventional, USS-Iowa style shell, 3d6 for a railgun. At this size these are supposed to be HE shells, but you can assume that a railgun might do the same amount of damage with an AP slug.

    The stats for naval guns will be released in the Revolution SRD next week. To obtain a railgun, which will not be mentioned in the SRD although the data is still compatible, shift one row down on the ballistic weapon table.

    Part of the reason U.S. Navy and  British Navy are so excited about railgun technology. Is if your there  enemy getting hit Buy 200 kg tungsten carbide slug at 14000 km/h from 440 km out for the cost of $20k and do twice the damage of 2.5 million $ Cruise missile has to suck.

    For example.

    Shields would be highly effective against projectile type weapons.

    Durrillum alloy highly effective against lasers. 

    To keep Shields from constantly regenerating power systems have to be taken out.

    Jest some ideas.

    So what weapons are used against which defense  would be just as important as maneuvering and positioning tactics.

     Edit I just realized I never really asked the question. I was really looking to see What ideas others may have had regarding this area? 

    Has this works been done anywhere else where I could port it over? As I don't to spend a whole bunch of time on this just find out It's already  been done and much better then what I did.

    A small one firing a 4kg to 10kg sug from 12000 km/h to 24000 km/h we can already do this.

    A large one 50kg to 200kg  sug from 40000 km/h 60000 km/h

    At 200kg 60000km/h would have 28,900,000,000 joules of  kinetic energy this is  Kinetic energy of an Airbus A380 at cruising speed (560 tonnes at 562 knots or 289 m/s)

    What damage would you give ? 

  5. On earth 2172 the signature Quantum entanglement singularity was discovered emanating from Mount Sinai This led to finding a ancient Space Ship of immense proportion burried there. After years of digging a QESC "Quantum Entanglement Singularity Crystal" was located that's  entanglement signature allowed a slipstream jump in 2213 to an unknown system of space. This is where the adventure will begin.

  7. Quite a few questions there. I'll try to answer a couple of them. Mythras is skill bace progression. The GM typically hands held two or three experience points per session the players can decide where to assign those. Magic is skill-based typically two skills per magic type are needed.

    I run with groups of 5 to 6 players. And combat is fast decisive cinematic and exciting. I now typically The first couple sessions can sow down till people get used to using There combat effects.

    During Gen Con  I ran four games of Classic Fantasy  with 6 player. Where they had to negotiate traps and for groups of creatures. All four groups finished the adventure took about four hours. So for me even with new players they got  through combat pretty fast.

Effects were counted to Interdimensional radiation. Not disclosed resulting damage was blamed on Green Peace terrorist.

    I think if you put it to people in that long, almost polemic, verse, it could be a little confusing.  I say keep it simple.  Like a pamphlet, or a fortune cookie.  Just write it so it's easily understood...I kind of like the idea of wacko religious organizations.  I mean, most back story never gets read, except by the GM, and so I keep it simple and short in order to move on to the game itself.  

    This is a mistake I tend to make to often. I have had my players complain be for that I was feeding them to much back story. Especially with my Glorantha campaigns. 

  10. Yes that is about right. Though the Jairelldites also State that this is a war of perception. What most would call believes. For them perception is reality. And that are universe could  absorbed as it was bent the will of another more powerful intelligence. To them if enough people believe I a god whether he existed or not before he does now by the sheer force of unified Perception.

    Was trying to match some of the religious ramblings that I at one time had to listened to. Do sitting next to the man on a flight from Atlanta to Baltimore. Is it to  confusing or  about right for what most people would consider totally wacko religious organization.

  11. Working on my first cult. 

    The Jairellidite's

    This is a militaristic religious organization.

    Below  are some notes that were taken by one of our investigators that has been posing as a Jairellidite initiate.

    In the grate war of the gods One The devourer broke that which was most forbidden sought to take free will away and bind all intelligence to him.  For intelligence cannot be created nor destroyed but expounded upon. In the Devours deception he performed the  forbidden practices bounding power and intelligences to him till he had soon possessed one third of all that existed. And this time of desperation The greatest of the gods Jairell holder of the seed stood against the Devourer even though now only a Child compared to the Devours power. In the moment that the Devourer reached and took into himself to possess all that Jairell was. Jairell gave up control of all the energy bound by him. Resulting in the seed a singularity unfathomable density now returned its rawest form of pure energy an explosion of unmeasurable power exceeding the speed of light which enveloped and sundered both Jairell and the Devourer. All that the Devourer had consumed and bound was torn from him and the energy now loyal to Jairell would never again bend to give the Devourer form. In this first moment of the Big Bang energy far excited  the speed of light this cased a bubble of infinite possibilities and time. For those caught within this expansion of energy that created time binding all within it to times eternal prison. We are at the same time part of the singularity that begin all things and infinitely separated by distance and probability. With in  probabilities are the infinite universes and realities created in the single event. Lit  it be understood no matter can exist without perception from a simple electron to mega a cluster of galaxies neither can exist without being bound to intelligence. And in our multi verse of probability intelligences war for energy. For each probability to exist it must be perceived by intelligence. As one strengthens another must weaken for like intelligence energy cannot be created nor destroyed but unlike intelligence you cannot be expanded upon. For matter is not but energy bound to intelligence. So for one intelligence to grow it must take form and experience slowly building and expanding over millennia we are not but intelligence bound to our bodies. Ever progressing as we take form time and time again. For all Intelligence seeks for Energy to give self form. There are other greater intelligence that seek the energy and intelligence of our plane of existence. Their perception exceeds our own allowing them to bend and change our own reality to their benefit.  And worse yet other have been taught that which was for bidden and seek to take are free will and bind us to them. This is are greatest enemy those taught by the Devourer must be destroyed. For most this is a unknown battle but for us the true disciples of Jairell  true risks are known.

    Well the text might be a nice primer for the Player characters to find and read.
