  1. If this list is made, please organize the free scenario names by setting (i.e., Gaslight, classic, modern, etc.). I would only run classic Call of Cthulhu scenarios for the immediate future.
  2. What is QuestWorlds? https://www.chaosium.com/questworlds/
  3. I checked the event listings for GenCon 2019 after making the above post and there were almost two dozen play sessions of 7th Sea. I was just surprised that there is so little activity here.
  4. Both Magic World and Mythic Iceland were updated in 2012, and Mythic Iceland may still receive updates in the future. I even saw a physical copy of Mythic Iceland at my local gaming store here in Colorado Springs. But Magic World is officially no longer being developed by Chaosium according to a post on these forums. Something I've noticed is that a number of products on the Chaosium website lack a publication date, even in the drop down menu details. I had to find the publication dates for the Magic World and Mythic Iceland supplements on rpg.net.
  5. I was checking out Chaosium's website and looked at the 'Other RPGs' section. Superworld hasn't been developed since the 1980s and Nephilim hasn't been touched since the 1990s. I know that Chaosium has a new science-fiction RPG based on the BRP system in the works (something like the now defunct Futureworld, perhaps), but these other BRP games might have close to zero players at this point. The costs of keeping the PDFs for the two games for sale on the website is minimal, so if there are just a handful of download purchases every year its probably worth it to leave them there. Thoughts?
  6. I was just curious about the differences between the two games. I don't plan on playing either RuneQuest or HeroQuest in the near future as I am busy with Call of Cthulhu for the time being.
  7. I've downloaded a number of the free scenario PDFs from this forum that are intended for convention use. However, the content seems to be scattered among the sub-forums and there is no master key listing of the available free content. Can anyone compile a list of all available free scenarios for Cult of Chaos Call of Cthulhu Keepers and then keep it updated as new scenarios become available? A moderator could pin the thread to the top of this forum as a reference.
  8. Joking, of course. However, there are almost no posts in this sub-forum. I am wondering how active this game is for Chaosium.
  9. I bought several of the Elfquest RPG books back in the 1980s when they were first published as I was a fan of the comic books. Oddly, these were the only Chaosium products I had ever purchased until this year. My knowledge of Chaosium until recently was mostly from my high school's gaming club and also advertisements in Dragon magazine back in the day.
  10. Thanks, I appreciate this additional explanation.
  11. Thank you for your answer, I understand the difference now.
  12. I am somewhat familiar with Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu material but I've never played either HeroQuest or RuneQuest before. What is the difference between the two games? Is HeroQuest a generic fantasy rules system which can be transferred to a number of settings (similar to BRP) and RuneQuest is a specific campaign setting like D&D's Greyhawk? Both games are set in the Glorantha universe from the descriptions I've read, so that is why I'm not sure.
  13. I was going to use both artifacts as tie-ins to the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign when we get to that content. Masks will likely be our first full campaign as our group just started in May 2019 and finished the Starter Set scenarios last week.
  14. I am going to participate as a Keeper for this year's Tacticon gaming convention in Lone Tree, Colorado. However, as I live in Colorado Springs, I am going to run the four sessions (one each evening from Thursday, August 29th to Sunday, September 1st) using the Fantasy Grounds virtual platform. Fantasy Grounds includes a number of licensed Call of Cthulhu products for use on their platform, including a 'Call of Cthulhu Adventure Pack 1' featuring the scenario "Scritch Scratch" as well as two shorter scenarios, "Dead Boarder" and "Camp Sunny." These three scenarios are the content I am considering running for the Tacticon event. Can anyone comment on using Fantasy Grounds for CoC, as well as comment on these particular scenarios in the Adventure Pack? I've never used Fantasy Grounds before, so I was going to test run the content first with some friends before I GM any of this at a convention.
