threedeesix
There has been some interest in a conversion of the computer RPG Fallout to Basic Role Playing. I have been in a Fallout BRP game since the original BRP playtest that has been run by my brother. He gave me permission to start uploading some stuff to the files section and I figured I would begin with the Character Sheet I designed. It is based on the sheet that will be included in Sword & Spell, but has been changed to better reflect the Fallout setting. It has been configured to use the options we have chosen for our campaign so may not be of use to everyone. If there are any questions on its use, or design suggestions I will try to accommodate them time permitting. Anyway, the sheet has been uploaded to the File section. Verderer
I checked out the character sheet, and it has some nice ideas, like using the Pip-boy for the hit location character, and including radiation levels.:thumb: I'd be interested in reading any material you care to put for download, but you know that already. Incidentally, I got to browsing yesterday, and found some Fallout pnp material (paper and pencil, I assume) on some sites. The Vault has them here: Fallout PnP, and Duck and Cover has loads of links to pnp stuff. I got the impression that the makers of the original Fallout PC games published a pen and paper version as a bonus material? Later there was an attempt to release d20 version (yuk!) of Fallout, but that folded, I think.

Hanging out in radiated areas will cause you to advance to the next level after an amount of time dependent upon the intensity of the surrounding radiation. Taking Rad-Away will drop you to the next lower level. I have a write-up on how it all works and will upload it when I clean it up a little. For what its worth, the little guy is Vault Boy, Pip-Boy is the device you wear on your arm. I'd be interested in reading any material you care to put for download, but you know that already. No problem. Incidentally, I got to browsing yesterday, and found some Fallout pnp material (paper and pencil, I assume) on some sites. I got the impression that the makers of the original Fallout PC games published a pen and paper version as a bonus material? It's not an official game but a fan produced RPG. It uses the actual game mechanics of the computer game quite extensively. Unfortunately, because of that I feel it to be needlessly complex in some areas. Just my opinion of course. Later there was an attempt to release d20 version (yuk!) of Fallout, but that folded, I think. D20? Whats that? Verderer
Vault Boy, of course. What was I thinking? Thanks for the info, Rod. This would really make a good game, I feel. And there are at least two post-apocalyptic sourcebooks on the make for BRP, they might well be useful for Fallout too?

I'm in the Same group as threedeesix and I still call him the Pip Boy instead of the Vault Boy lol

My son wants to play a Fallout3 styled game so I was looking for any Houserule compilations or any tips... The Fallout character sheet is GREAT! Thanks! As for other stuff, let me talk to my brother and see if he can give me some stuff to upload. Unfortunately, he runs most of the adventure from memory. He does however have most of the critters written up, along with weapons and equipment. seneschal
The Fallout wiki may have some useful info. (There's a wiki for almost anything, isn't there?) http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_armor_and_clothing http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_armor_and_clothing There's also a Fallout equipment database: http://www.gamebanshee.com/falloutequipment/ Edited November 20, 2013 by seneschal
