Ray J
I'm trying to chase down the exact date of the Dragonrise. The Gloranthan Sourcebook say it happened on 7/54 (1625). I know 1625 means the year but what does 7/54 mean?

The Lunars figure time by double the number of years of the life of the red goddess on Glorantha which was 27... as they see it as a cycle of strength and growing for 27 years and 27 years of gathering strength. There have been 7 such periods called wanes. Oh and welcome to BRP. I guest this will be the first wane of postings from Ray J! AndreJarosch
7/54 is only the Lunar version of 1625: Start of Lunar Calendar 1220 0 Wane = 27 years 1 to 7th Wane = 54 years each 1220 + 27 + (7 x 54) = 1625
Richard S.
I believe the dragonrise happened in Earth season but I'm not sure of the week or day. Presumably it was on a holy day to the red goddess or Yara Aranis, since that's when the consecration would've taken place.
