kasi49
Thanks! Do you know what the backstory of this book is? Or when it is written?
Dr_Zarnak
Spoiler It was written in the 15th century by a Spanish monk, and is a transcript of the ravings of madman named Castro who was condemned by the Spanish Inquisition. Castro was believed to be possessed by demons, but was in fact suffering from multiple personality disorders and amnesia. The tome is written in Latin, adds 5% to one's Cthulhu Mythos knowledge, and costs 1d6 SAN loss. It contains one spell: Elder Sign.

Thanks and greetings, Kasi It's stats are Latin, +5 Mythos, -1d6 SAN, and it contains info on producing an Elder Sign. It was produced by a Spanish monk of the Inquisition taking the confession of a certain Mad Castro who had been condemned to the Auto da Fe. It is unstated, but the Madman Castro may well be either a relative or the same man as the Old Castro referred to by Inspector LeGrasse in the Bayou raid in HPL's "Call of C'thulhu".
