Short introductory adventures for QW and Glorantha

I'm planning to start my Heroquest/Questworlds Storyteller journey next month with an adventure in Glorantha, but I'm still undecided on which one to pick. Could you help me by suggesting introductory modules?

As the game will take place in a small face-to-face event, lasting a single afternoon, this adventure should preferably have these characteristics:

- duration of 3 to 4 hours (one-shot), concluded in the same session;
- introductory adventure to the world of Glorantha and the HQ/QW system (giving a taste of the setting and mechanics rules)

I thank everyone...

The question here is more: which HQG modules do you have access to already? Since most of the books are OOP/unavailable, this can be a limiting factor.

Do you own any of the original HQG books, i.e. Sartar Companion, Pavis: Gateway to Adventure, or Eleven Lights?

If so, then I'd probably suggest one of the following: Treasure of Two-face Hill (SC), Gifts of Stone (SC), Rough Business (Pavis), maybe Purple Troll (Pavis), The Missing (Eleven Lights).

If not, then you need to turn to the JC offering, Valley of Plenty. Those are good introductions but focus on children of a clan.

Well this is a complicating factor... But here we go: I already have (in PDF or printed book) all the material from the "new" Runequest (Role-playing in Glorantha); HQ:G's book (purchased at a second-hand store on Amazon.com); the free "Highwall Inn" scenario.

Perhaps some of these adventures from the new Runequest can be adapted without losing the HQ/QW essence, I don't know...

I also noticed that some of the out-of-print editions of HeroQuest may still be "mined" by eBay, Amazon, and Discovery Books, so I'll try to find these suggestions (and others that appear)

Thanks a lot for the help...

You can certainly work with any of the RQ scenarios in HQ/QW. The main thing there is to generally work out the story arc and get a sense of when you want to introduce specific tests/conflicts and whether/where you want to incorporate extended contests. A scenario such as the Broken Tower could be used as very self-contained.
