Allied Elemental Size

I was looking at allied spirits (RQG, p. 277).

A lot of such allied spirits will take the shape of relevant elementals. Cool.

But what size are those elementals? Anyone know?

Each cult can summon particular sizes of elemental, shown in their list of rune spells. Some cults know only Summon Elemental (small), many know Summon (small and medium), and a few know Summon (any size) which includes large (see the list on page 247). You could potentially do a service for an allied cult for them to summon a larger one to host your allied spirit- Babeester Gor for example can only summon small elementals, but might supplicate at her mother Ernalda's temple for a medium or large one.

I say Medium - that seems balanced.

I’d say the biggest they can afford to, since it is for a runelady or runelord.

I'd be concerned that most elemental types, other than Sylphs, are likely to be left behind on certain adventures.  Such as going on boats, flying on your hippogriffs, etc.

That said, a Sylph familiar is pretty awesome.

Earth elementals are fantastic utility, but yeah, they’re mobile only in their own particular way. They literally weigh tons.
