Merudo
Honestly I'm more excited about The Sinking City. The Call of Cthulhu video game just seems so unimaginative. Basically the same tale involving a fisherman village and hybrids we have seen countless times by now - including a decade ago in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. At least The Sinking City has an interesting open world city and L.A. Noir style gameplay. Edited August 16, 2018 by Merudo
MOB
Check out the new gameplay trailer for CALL OF CTHULHU, "the official adaptation of Chaosium's tabletop RPG", as is so nicely said at the start of the video. Trailer released at Gamescom in Cologne earlier this week, the game is out on October 30.
MOB
A discussion with two of the lead developers of Call of Cthulhu the official video game at Gamescom 2018. Again, nice to see they emphasise up front that the game (out on Oct 30) is based on the Chaosium tabletop RPG:
MOB
'Horror on the Orient Express' and 'Reign of Terror' lead writer Mark Morrison - himself, a very experienced video game writer - was on board to help ensure CALL OF CTHULHU the Video Game captures the essence of the tabletop RPG that inspired it. https://www.pcgamer.com/can-call-of-cthulhu-ever-be-a-good-videogame

Damn possessive Acheronians. They're not even canon. I bet they want Lorenzo Cabot from Fallout 4's hat back too? It looks like a matching part of the set.
