The immense popularity of Call of Cthulhu in Japan - "hands down the most popular played RPG: ...where you think roleplaying game equals Dungeons and Dragons in many other countries, in Japan... roleplaying equals Call of Cthulhu." To everyone's surprise, there was a very upbeat discussion about Call of Cthulhu on Japan's NHK this afternoon (the Japanese equivalent of the BBC), and this tweet about it is now ranking #12 on Japanese Twitter:

Shiro Sano is a well-known actor (and long-time Call of Cthulhu fan), who appeared in a Japanese version of Shadow over Innsmouth:

After 15 years, a new edition (7th) is coming in Japanese, and will be released on December 20. Here's the promo trailer making the announcement:

Any plans for original Japanese'centric modules/campaigns/setting material to be translated for play in the US and European markets.
