Thanks, they have Mythic Greece, which is going to be one of my favourites I am sure. Alephtar Games are Kickstarting a Nippon game for Revolution, as well, so there are at least 3 companies producing Alternate/Mythic/Fantasy Earth supplements on an active basis.

Is Mythic Greece out yet? I cannot find it on their website.

This will be then the same as all other references to spirit magic matrix on page 265

However, all such references on Page 83 should read:

Page 83. 2-point spirit magic matrix (page 265) for Glamour 2 (see page 262).

Currently it flips between referencing the page for spirit magic matrix and the page for the particular spell mentioned.

A tie should be broken by the highest die roll winning,. This gives the edge in both cases to the higher skill.

This is what should be written, or maybe it was, kind of. It would be good to have clarity on this from Chaosium.

Vasana and Vishi are confronted when she tries to enter the Earth Temple in Prax. The priestess Varaneena asks her to demonstrate her loyalty to Earth

Good typo spots. I think it should read:

Vasana and Vishi are confronted when they try to enter the Earth Temple in Prax. The priestess Varaneena asks Vasana to demonstrate her loyalty to Earth

IMHO it does look pretty casual. However, it might have been written better even though I feel I understood it.

That was one of the things we were asked not to mention at the Chaosium Seminar at Eternalcon. Let's just say that HQ will probably have other genres, including one that I think suts HQ better than any other system.

Its next Saturday. Also I’m running a Heroquest game straight after the seminar. But there will be tales to be told.

Doh! Thanks for the chance to hear for those unable to get there.

inconsistency in Nathem attacks - comp bow only 1 attack on SR6, but javelin is listed as 1/MR...when?  1d10 damage for javelin?

The Rules explain 1/MR. However, the Composite Bow SR looks like an unspotted typo: it should be 1

It is, however, used in the Dragon Pass game and Arcane Lore.

Looking at Third Age SuperHeroes, we have Harrek, Jar-Eel and Androgeus. Earlier, Yanafal Tarnils was described as a SuperHero. In the First Age, Arkat was a SuperHero.

In Dragon Pass, I think it says that a SuperHero has mastered the Infinity Rune, so can warp magic and force around, granting some invulnerability to magic/damage. It may be broader than that, so a SuperHero may well have gained more than one Rune, in the same way that a Deity is associated with Runes. So, a Hero may well master one Rune, but a SuperHero has mastered multiple Runes.

Probably not 'official' but (IIRC) Sandy suggested that each SuperHero was the embodiment of a particular Rune (Harrek with Death, Jar-Eel with Harmony etc.), but I guess they would have to Master the Infinity Rune too? So it might be the other way round, a Hero has multiple Runes they are very good at and then they Master one particular one?

And probably also involved is their base of support from Worshipers, as well as their mythic restrictions and obligations (the latter from Andrew Jones' recent scoop on Google+). I'm looking forward the RuneQuest GamesMaster's Book when hopefully all will be revealed!

  13. Misspelling it mean you obviously have not read the Kyger Litor cult enough times! ;) (Although we talk about KL, Orlanth also had multiple re-writes too.)

Joking aside, it is a new edition for RQ and, as great as it is to have access to old RQ2 supplements, the game needs a comprehensive update of previously published cults. This way the cults match up with the new rules, GtG (and other revelations), and the current era we now find Glorantha entering.

The never fully presented cults should be enough to make it worthwhile getting for the old hand.

But I do wish it was called Cults of Glorantha rather than Gods of Glorantha. The former is appropriately edgy and kewl (ie Cults of Prax), The latter makes me think i'm about to read yet another cult catalogue (ie Avalon Hill's Gods of Glorantha, yuk).

But the book itself sounds like it's going to be amazing :)

Mongoose used the title of "Cults of Glorantha", so there is no new, clean way of doing it.

But I concur, it sounds it will be an amazing book.

While we don't mind people reporting errors, typos, and layout suggestions, please only submit them based on the LATEST version of the book, and ONLY for things not already reported and fixed. Page 11 rune was reported and was fixed some time ago.

Ditto. Does this mean the Backerkit version "CHA4033 GSB revised again" is not the latest version, and there is a fourth and yet-to-distributed version?
