  1. Hit locations are optional unfortunately, so does choseing to play with hit locations will have to calculate those for all enemies in future supplements probably. It's more like Stormbringer where locations are only rolled on a major hit. The magic systems will be psionics from elfquest, summonings from stormbringer & magic spells from magic world. They are not supposed to be used in the same setting though.

    Cheers,

  2. Yes the RQ fumble tables were drawn from the authors' experience with fighting in the SCA. Those experiences are 30 years old and that table could probably use some updating.I am with the camp that says fumbles happen too often. It is because of this- Murphy's Rules, "Cutting mistakes": In a thirty minute Runequest battle (Chaosium) involving 6000 armored, experienced warriors using Great Axes, more than 150 men will decapitate themselves and another 600 will chop off their own arms or legs. Now I haven't replicated the math for this but it sounds plausible given the rules for RQ. And that tells me that something is wrong. I may have to dig out "Innumeracy" for the math.Joseph Paul

Does that calculation assume 6000 men fighting constantly for 30 minutes (150 melee rounds)? That would never happen in a RQ battle, no fight lasts for 150 MR. It would probably not happen in a real world battle either, as quite some time would be used moving and not fighting. So I think that calculation is flawed.

  3. The software is up, but hasn't been done anything with yet. NuWiki was made to integrate with vBulletin, and uses standard BBC code instead of the normal Wiki language. So members of the forum will have an easy job when adding something to the Wiki. You can read about NuWiki here: http://www.nuhit.com/nuwiki/features.html

It's a pretty simple wiki, but I hope it will do. In the wiki, the first post will serve as the article, while following posts will serve as the discussion.

All the good stuff coming up on the forum - new houserules, spells, ideas, settings, etc. which should be saved can be transferred over to the wiki so it won't be lost in all the pages.

    SGL.

EDIT: By the way, is there anyone who would object to that anything posted in the forum could be added to the wiki? Maybe I should add a sticky post with rules & information...
