  1. Cool. Are the Pavis and Big Rubble Companions available anywhere? I was entirely unaware of these. Best, Mikael
  2. You can never have too many scenarios! Especially this time around, as I won't have as much time to create my own. Best, Mikael
  3. So, my old gaming group is returning to Glorantha, 25 years later, riding on the anticipation of new Runequest. Turns out they want to start by returning to the scene of their crimes -- they're gonna play Orlanthi exiles in Pavis, about 1618-19 ST. I still have my old (and some new) stuff -- Pavis and Big Rubble, Borderlands, Strangers in Prax, Shadows on the Borderland, River of Cradles, and Sun County. Oh, and Pavis: Gateway to Adventure. My question -- are there any good Prax/Pavis scenarios outside of those publications that you would recommend? Or good generic scenarios that can be modded to work in the Prax/Pavis setting? Best, Mikael
  4. Sounds like something from the Book of Drastic Resolutions
  5. If your bison don't fly, are you really a Stormbull? Best, Mikael
  6. I'm flattered that someone would actually reference something i wrote. *Enjoying the ego boost high* EDIT: in case some wonders, i took my wife's surname when we married. Best, Mikael
  7. Very well. Let us hope the old RQ holds enough interest for them, so we can ramp up to the summer release. Best, Mikael
  8. I saw no option of adding it to my pledge. EDIT: Nevermind. Found it!
  9. Any chance of adding the Nomad Gods PDF as an extra? I opted for the tin box, but would also like the Nomad Gods PDF... Best, Mikael
  10. *Gnashing of teeth* That's a joke, right? I thought end of Q2 is the target for the new RQ Kickstarter. Right? Please? EDIT: in case it is not a joke -- who do i have to bribe, what oaths do i have to swear, and how much do i have to pay, to get a copy *this month* of the already-written core rules? I'm not joking; i'm very concerned that my group will wander off and commit their free time to other games or pastimes if they have to wait half a year... Best, Mikael
  11. So, i'm fairly sure you refer to D&D, Empire of the Petal Throne, and Tunnels & Trolls. Does CT refer to Classic Traveller? I'm thoroughly stumped on MA, though; what game is that? Best, Mikael
  12. Wonderful! Do you have an ETA on the quickstart? Best, Mikael
  13. I've been in love with the system since the Hero Wars playtest. I'm a fairly improvisational GM with a narrative bent, and HW/HQ gives me an awesome framework with which to run both gritty and epic stuff with a minimum of prep. Too bad that too few of the people i play with shares my love of this kind of system. They prefer to have more rules and crunch that give them a clearer sense of what they can and cannot, and should and should not, do. Freeform character generation in particular befuddles them. They might be too imprinted on RQ and CoC for their mental models of how RPG:s (should) work. I think that for HW/HQ to shine in actual play, players either need to be narrative-oriented (to enjoy the mechanics) or have strong knowledge of Glorantha (to give them a sense of place, direction, and propriety). At least that's my experience with the people i play with. EDIT: which is why we eagerly await the new RQ for returning to Glorantha. Best, Mikael
  14. Thanks, I kickstarted it, so i have it already. While i haven't been in the loop, i haven't been entirely estranged. I also kickstarted Rob's 13th Age in Glorantha and Sandy's Gods War. I did miss the RQ2 kickstarter (and all the unpublished stuff...), though. EDIT: Thanks for the list, @g33k! I think i got a grasp on developments on the system side. But i'm kind of in the dark about what's happened to the Glorantha community. Are all the old grognards still active? Any drama or schisms that i should know about? Best, Mikael
  15. Thanks, Hannu! I agree, there seems to be a lot of stuff available right now. I think my group will have problems deciding where to start... Best, Mikael
  16. Hi, I've got my old RQ group interested in returning to Glorantha what with the new version of RQ. I was fairly active in the Glorantha community in the 90's and early 00's but i've been out of the loop since then. Is this forum the central place nowadays for Glorantha discussions? Is the Glorantha Digest still running? What's been going on in the community for the past 15 years? Best, Mikael
  17. Alright! I've got my old RQ group itching to return to Glorantha ever since i told them that a new version was in the works. I'm very much interested in early access to the core rules -- i would like to start generating characters and running some old stuff before the new stuff becomes available in the summer. I don't really care if you price the PDF as if it contained the Godlearner Secret or you slap some draconic NDA on it, as long as i can get it fairly immediately. I want to get started while my group is still interested... Best, Mikael
