  1. I really hope they don't reprint it. It's beautiful as it is and it cost an arm and a leg.
  2. I mean, they essentially mirrored the Lightbringers quest when stitching together the Red Goddess, although not in a way that would call an exact copy. Sounds like you've been drinking some of Eurmal's "special stuff" and listening to God Learner tracts.
  3. Any good will that Scott Glancy had must surely have evaporated by now. I would be amazed if anybody backed anything he ever did again.
  4. I am currently reviewing it chapter by chapter for my Patrons. Firstly, the production values are just glorious. The handouts are amazing (though not as amazing as the HPLHS set - those are out of this world), and the books have great art throughout. The intro chapter really sets the scene, doing a great job of encapsulating the entire campaign and the prologue in Peru does a good job of introducing Jackson Elias in a manner that makes him a person rather than a bit of a gaming meme. He never becomes the focal point, and gives good reasons as to why the investigators eventually consider him a good friend. As per every edition since the Complete version, the Australian chapter is part of the canon storyline and is included. It's also worth mentioning that Pulp Cthulhu gets proper treatment here - not just two pages at the end - it is throughout the book whenever appropriate. My hope going forward is that nothing more is added to it. I could envisage it becoming a bit of a bloated woman of a campaign if they extended it further. I think it would be great if Chaosium basically said "right - that's it. Masks will not be changed any more than this. This is 100% the definitive edition" as a kind of tribute to the late Larry DiTillio.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC88H-wLe8GKfeyVlewUAnSQ I review lots of things, with the main focus recently being RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green.
  6. Hey folks, I have a question that hopefully one of you guys can answer. Is some of the art in the new slipcase Masks taken from the Éditions Sans-Détour version? It looks awfully familiar, and I could have sworn that I had read it somewhere but can't find the source. Thanks in advance.
  7. I have to say, I'm not totally sold on the cover art - I think the original version is much better. I understand it is a bit more representative of native Aboriginal art, but it's just not grabbing me. It does look like a hefty tome though!
  8. Hey folks. Thought I would join up to enjoy the RQ/CoC discussion. I've played for about 35 years now - my first game was RuneQuest and I still retain a love of it to this day. I have a YouTube channel that some of you may have heard of - check it out if you get a chance. I enjoy discussing Gloranthan mythology and Lovecraftian lore. Bud
  9. Got a refund on this a while back but still check in from time to time to see how the project is going. Sad to see it's a bit of a shambles, as I had high hopes initially.
