MOB
Chaosium mourns the passing of renowned RPG artist James Holloway. In amongst the memorable work he did for Dungeons & Dragons, Dragon Magazine, Paranoia, and many other titles, was his beautiful cover art for Savage Mountains, a supplement for Chaosium's King Arthur Pendragon RPG. Jim Holloway's art helped spark gamers' imaginations for decades, and he leaves a lasting legacy. Our condolences go to his family and friends—Chaosium Inc. Prime Evil
What a sad loss. He could do everything from comedic pictures to heroic images like the cover of Savage Mountains. We've lost so many pioneers of our hobby over the past few years.
Shawn Carpenter
Godspeed, Mr. Holloway. Your illustrations fueled the inspiration of a whole generation of escapist kids. You'll be missed.
Der Rote Baron
Jim is dead but he lives one in his illustrations. If he was half as witty and funny as his drawings are the angels are chuckling so bad that hell is sending protests-notes to heaven for "some peace and quiet". Still, a great loss. All the best to his family and friends.
Ian Absentia
Skitterbuggers. Almost a throw-away article in The Dragon magazine from the early '80s. How do I even remember it? Because James Halloway did the art for it. And it's clear as day in my mind. His art was a touchstone for a lot of great games in the early years of RPGs, and beyond. !i! 1 Quote ...developer of White Rabbit Green
