Trifletraxor
A new download section have just been added to the site, where members can upload files to share with other members. What I need help with is the following: 1) What kind of categories should we have? 2) What kind of files should be allowed to be uploaded? SGL. Quote Ef plest master, this mighty fine grub! 116/420. Rather than asking what sort of categories we should have, and what we should be allowed to upload, see what you get and then categorize it. About the only limit I could see for files are that: 1) They should be BRP related in some way. Even if it is just to convert BRP to another system. 2) NO scans/copies from the new BRP rulebook. I could see putting something up from a 25 year old out of print book if it covered something no longer avlaible (like weapon stats from Future World). 3) No spam, porn, etc. I figure the above are sort of a given, but are probably worth putting up. Trifletraxor
Rather than asking what sort of categories we should have, and what we should be allowed to upload, see what you get and then categorize it. That's an idea. I'll make an "other category" in addition to the "D100 Systems" category, and then just create new ones as files are added to the other category. About the only limit I could see for files are that: ... Those are a give yes, what I meant was what file-types, like doc, pdf, etc. Do we need any else than those two? SGL. Yeah, we might want spreadsheets or jpgs. I wouldn't limit by file-type. Just handle it on a case by case basis as it comes up. I doubt we well see much .SAM files anyway. BTW, I've started working on writing up my WoW Superworld based Vehicle Design rules into a usable format. They probably won't survive the release of BRP, or need a heavy reworking, but at least they will give us something to start with. Plus, one written up as a stand alone set, other people can experiment with them and find all the flaws! Quote Chaos stalks my world, but she's a big girl and can take of herself. I have to add the allowed filetypes one by one, so it's automatically limited by the types I can think of. frogspawner
HTM/HTML files? Quote Britain has been infiltrated by soviet agents to the highest levels. They control the BBC, the main political party leaderships, NHS & local council executives, much of the police, most newspapers and the utility companies. Of course the EU is theirs, through-and-through. And they are among us - a pervasive evil, like Stasi.
Trifletraxor
HTM/HTML files? Those are a bit dangerous, as they can include all manner of code. They'd have to be checked before added at least. SGL. EDIT: Daniel Protor just gave me permission to distribute GORE from BRP Central, so it have been added to the download section. If you've contributed zero I'm sure you would be listed. SGL. Quote Ef plest master, this mighty fine grub! 116/420. High Priest.
Trifletraxor
Fire and Sword have been added to the download section. Fire and Sword is a BRP derived RPG system which uses the d20 for skill resolution (much like Pendragon). Many interesting ideas there. SGL. Quote Ef plest master, this mighty fine grub! 116/420.
