therealbigal Posted February 9, 2023 Share Posted February 9, 2023 Hi, Recently got back into RQ after a gap of about 30 years (purely coincidental, nothing to do with the other place.) One of my players decided on a foundchild initiate. We're looking at the default Rune spells FC initiates get and trying to work out if there is some sort "secret sauce" to the Beastmaster Rune Spell that we're missing. For a 2 Rune Point spell it seems almost entirely useless for the cost of the spell? Scotty Posted February 9, 2023 Share Posted February 9, 2023 The spell is basically a more powerful version of Command (species) where each species has a separate spell for each type of animal - Command dog, Command snake, Command boar, etc. This spell works on any unintelligent animal. Cast it on the lead animal of a wild herd. Control it to move the herd towards the hidden hunters. Or stack it and move the animals to a covered pit. Very useful for large prey like dinosaurs that needs a group of hunters to deal with it.
