What's On the Horizon for Generic Systems?

Having played a fair amount of Cthulhu Invictus (and wistfully looking at Dark Ages), I think that rule books when re-released could do with a good explanation of combat that is not hand to hand and not gunplay.

From a quick look at 'Cthulhu Thru The Ages' it looks like it covers how weaponry from different eras works in CoC 7E rules. That chapter covers things like archaic Armour, Shields, Hand-to-Hand Weapons, and Ranged Weapons (although only provides a small sample list for each). This could easily be elaborated on in a little more detail for use in a generic ruleset.

" Sure it's fun, but it is also well known that a D20 roll and an AC is no match against a hefty swing of a D100% and a D20 Hit Location Table!"
