Maran Gor before Death

Hi,

One of my players wants to recover the lost myths about Maran before she took Death. She thinks that her runes should be Change/Earth as the Active/Earth also she thinks that one of her roles should be the psychopomp for the Earth Tribe, guiding the souls thru the earth to reach the Halls of Ty Kora Tek.

Do you mean Babeester Gor? Maran Gor is Earth & Disorder. Babeester was Earth & Death since her birth as Ernalda's avenger.

I mean Maran before being Gor not Babeester. I think that earth/disorder and death are her cults runes now, but that does not mean those were her runes before Gods War. Gods have many aspects

The main Earth goddesses represent different phases of womanhood: Maiden, Lover, Mother, Crone, etc. So Maran before she took Death could be another of the Earth Godess aspects and not necessarily a unique “Maran Gor before Death” aspect. Ernalda would work fine, for example, or Asrelia her mother and therefore perhaps her earlier form.

Maran would be well known as the mother of the Earthshakers of which survives today.  I'm not too sure how you get from Maran before she took up death would be the psychopomp.  Becoming a psychopomp indicates an awareness of death IMO.
