mel
hi all, just about to run the quick starter rules game and was contemplating using my battle mat. BUT, i'm normally a 5 foot per square/hex person. What do people use with RQ's 1 meter movements? 1 square per meter? 2 meters per square? Psullie
With Runequest you add 1SR per 3m moved - so go with 1m or 3m hexes/squares. You could round to 1SR per 10 feet but as everything in RQ is metric it might get confusing.
Richard S.
One movement unit is typically 3m². Your average human can move up to 8 units or 24m in a round.

Roko Joko
1 meter hexes/squares might be easier if you're going to have people in shield walls. Quote What really happened? The only way to discover that is to experience it yourself.
