Just to get some more feedback on what you prefer!

That was REALLY good news!

Whole set of course, rules customized for the Southern Reaches setting!

Well, We all want answers. Let's all write/Email/face book Chaosium inc aka Moon Design and try to get one. Will they allow MW to continue with support?
What Chaosium has said is that Magic World will not be prioritized now. They have a limited number of people, limited funds and have just taken over a company in a financial mess. So we can probably not expect to see more supplements for Magic World for some time. Also, with Chaosium's new policy of self-contained settings with the rules included, we'll probably not see more support for Magic World as a system unless they reverse this. On the positive side, Chaosium have had work in the pipeline for Magic World that was nearing completion. I have a scenario that was supposed to go into a Shillingshead supplement for the Southern Reaches. Nick Nicario was the line editor for Magic World at least from january this year and he's still with the company. I think if we all express interest in a self-contained Southern Reaches setting (with the Magic World rules included of course) and this interest continues also after Chaosium have managed their more urgent priorities, then I think the chances of seeing more Southern Reaches/Magic World supplements are not that bad.

Tell us when it's live and we'll set up a product and link list for Magic World!

Hehe, not a software glitch but Beetle-error! Back up now!

Let's talk about something really important... why am I still a Junior Member? C'mon, trifletraxor, I've made 100+ posts, and I've killed every single kobold you threw at me. Whaddaya say? Can I level up?
I honestly don't know where you junior members come from. The ranks are supposed to be Newbie <10 posts, Member <30, Advanced Member <100, Senior Member at 100+, and possibility for custom title after 500 posts. No Junior Members!
I've manually pulled you up to the senior member rank. No fraternizing with the other junior members now, I'm sure they're up to no good!

Likelihood of BRP Interplanetary ever seeing the light of day is probably slim, as I know there are several other projects he's now committed to.

I think Chaosium and other publishers of d100 games in the BRP family are lucky to have such a passionate bunch of players. It just means there's interest in their games. "Meh..." would be the worst possible reaction to the news.

I didn't get that Chaosium will have a EU printer I believe it was more that POD printing will be done for EU product avoiding the international shipping issue (Lulu seemed to be the option with most positive feedback from customers).
Might have misunderstood what they said. Head of Kraken organizer Fabian did however tape the session, so we should be able to access a video or podcast of it pretty soon.

So, BRP Essentials will be based on RQ6 - you're sure about that Sverre?
That's what I heard at least.
Not sure where this puts CoC 7E however. A flagship setting that is not using the core build may be a issue, and it makes me wonder that if it survives to be CoC 8E it could possibly be further tweaked to be consistent with the BRP Essentials - pure speculation.
I'd be surprised if we didn't see some changes in CoC8E, but that's probably far in the future.
Nice. I hope they release it as a "deluxe" or anniversary edition, much like Wotc's premium reprints. Personally, I've got a few copies of RQ2, so if it's just a basic POD it won't really appeal to me.
It will be a Kickstarter to get it to the printers, so I guess it will be better than just a PoD.

Joined it!

Yup. I think the plan is to have it all on pdf and PoD for the stuff they don't restock at the moment. Could be wrong, but that was how I understood it.

On a total, I think the changes that have happened at Chaosium is for the good. I'm sad to see Ben leave and Magic World being downprioritized. I also think it would be good to have a printed book of generic rules. But that said, I think the company and its d100 games have a much brighter future now than it had before.

Also just back from Kraken and attended the same seminar as nclarke.
- CoC7thE has had priority, but seems to be resolving now. Much other CoC material is ready in the pipeline, waiting for 7E to come out.
- UK printer for fulfillment of European orders is coming, which means less shipping cost for us outside the US.
- "RuneQuest" will be a slimmed down rule- and settingbook for Glorantha, with gloranthan cults and other stuff following.
- There will be no big generic rulebook except for the Golden Book available on pdf and print-on-demand.
- 32-page core rules will be based on RuneQuest 6 and they want new settings to be self-contained with the rules.
- Mythic Iceland 2nd Edition will be re-released as a stand-alone book with the rules included and a campaign book is being prepared for the setting.
- BRP licenses will continue.
- Old RuneQuest 2 will be put back in print!
- Magic World will unfortunately not be prioritized now.

Never even heard about Dolphin! But if this is confirmed for others too I'll open a support thicket and hear if they can do anything about it.

We just updated the software again, might be that process which caused it. Is it still a problem?
-
What's the new sig or did it work in the end?

A boxed campaign with LOTS of nice handouts and props!

(Trif could you please make it sticky or give me back admin rights so that I can stick it myself?).
Both done!

A new member of the d100 family! Looking forward to it!

I'm impressed!

Location shows up okay and the download section have had most of the corrupted files exchanged with new ones. Only one file left that I know of. We're slowly getting back to normal!

I'm with BRP any edition

I'm not really that hung up about what rules the books are written for anymore. My group is using our own homebrew "d100rules" or drools for short and will probably continue with this. Any d100 system supplement is quite easy to use, just really the quality of the material that counts. But for the 32-page BRP Essentials I hope they go with simplicity as the main rule. It should be easy to understand and start gaming with, and still give the full gaming experience.
