Can anyone at Gen Con confirm that the books are being sold there? And, if so, pretty please post some photos of them?

That's a lot of translation work you're doing @AndreJarosch... hope you get it funded and it doesn't drive you insane

I am just the headman of the gaming club thatz is publishing the german edition of MYTHRAS. The translation was done by Lutz Reimers, as was the layout. My part is the administrative things: printing, selling, shipping, organizing convention booths, book keeping, etc. AND german original supplements.
I HAVE translated in the past (and will do again, soon), but in the moment the german original supplements use up all my time.

ROME is a topic that will sell.
We are not a company, so we can go the slow way, and convince customers through good translations and interesting topics. 🙂

Warum zwei Crowdfundings so kurz hintereinander?

That's the one! Thank you!!! 😊👍 Some time ago I looked for it everywhere and for a time at the YS forum they were selling it in a DVD with other material.

Still don´t have a Yog Sothoth membership.
Was this video you mention here made by Danny Bourne?

I vaguely remember this, do you have any idea who videoed this?

Danny Bourne springs to mind (he's on Facebook)

    I have no clue.
I tried to search Google Videos with a lot of different search word combinations: nothing

I remember that it was NOT on youtube, but hosted on a private website.

Greg spoke about the origins of Glorantha (Hrestol, Jonat etc.), the Beginning of RQ and of his PC.
He also spoke of how Call of Cthulhu came to be, and his PCs in that game.

It was one interview, but two videos (i assume cut in half because of length, or to make one more about Glorantha and RuneQuest and the other about Cthulhu and other stuff).

  6. Since i got no response omn Facebook, i try it here:

Sorry, to get a little out of topic.
I am searching for a video (if i am remember correctly two videos, two parts of the same interview):
An interview with Greg Stafford, taken on the outside of (i assume) one of the Convulsion Conventions in Leicester, made in the early/mid 90s (Greg is wearing his wrist bandages).
I saw this video years ago, and would like to find it again.
Google search doesn´t end up to any results that fit what i am searching for.
    Any ideas?

Yep, the print option isn't an option. I was more hoping for a legal pdf. I'm a bit surprised there isn't one in this digital age.

Since the book was published by Chaosium, and Chaosium doesn´t have the linence to publish anything for Elric/Stormbringer any more since 2006 or so:

No, there are no legal PDFs for Chaosium Elric/Stormbringer publications anymore.

It will just bolt on. Trance and Binding are derived skills, so no problems. Just be sure not to mix it up with the RQG rules

Which is exacty my most common problem as a GM: I have played RQ3 from 1991 to 2010; Call of Cthulhu (3rd to 6th editions) from 1988 to now; Stormbringer (3rd edition) from 1989 to 1993; RuneQuest6/Mythras from 2013 to now; RQG from 2018 to now (and some other BRP derived games).
Sometimes i mix up the BRP rules in my head... Mythras combat and RQG combat and spirit magic are the most common.

Starting from scratch in 2018, we have published Glorantha Sourcebook (2018), RuneQuest (2018), Bestiary (2018), GM Adventures Pack (2018), Smoking Ruins (2019), Pegasus Plateau (2020), Red Book of Magic (2020), Starter Set (2021), and Weapons and Equipment (2022). We now have the Prosopaedia (2023), Lightbringers (2023), Earth Goddesses (2023), and Mythology (2023). That comes out to a little over two RQ books a year on average, despite having our printing and logistics system completely disrupted in 2020-2021. I expect it to ramp up to around four+ a year, now that we have the pipeline properly fed.

Shiningbrow is welcome to hold me "for trial" for whatever he thinks I should have done. But to keep to the lawyerly metaphor, I am inclined to move for dismissal for failure to state a claim.

And 4(+) books a year is GREAT. Enough to keep the game on the table running and more than enough to keep the game alive, but also not so much to have still have left money in the pocket for other hobbys (or buying Pendragon, Cthulhu, River of London, Lord of the Middle-Sea etc. books). The future looks bright for RuneQuest, and it is time for us long time fans to acknowlege that, and let Chaosium do their marketing things (even if we don´t agree with all of them) to get NEW players on board, too.

Thank you for your thorough review of The Smoking Ruins (Runequest 7 E). I am about to run it.  I would love to have what you put in the dreams about Organvale Summer to also hand out to my players. Yes, it is one complicated module. any other helpful tips would be greatly appreciate.

    Jeri

I recommend getting the Jonstown Compendium book "Korolstead: Secrets of the Smoking Ruin" to acompany the main book:
