    1. In the overview Paris Map on pp. 50-51, there is a dotted line that is not identified by any key, etc. that proceeds through the streets, past a few of the marked adventure points of interest (like locations 8, 14, 13, and across the Seine past locations 3, 12, 18, etc.), but it also, like, surrounds the Ile de la Cite, etc., as if it's marking districts. But it doesn't seem to be marking out the arrondisements or faubourgs, etc., as it then proceeds out of town along the roads. Can somone tell me what that is supposed to indicate, or if I am missing something point me to where in the text it is explained? At first I thought it marked the wall of the ferme-generale, like the excerpted blow-up mini-map, and then maybe arrondisements, but it seems different. I also thought it might be intended to mark the Investigators likely paths through the city from one numbered adventure location to another, but it doesn't seem to be quite that, either.

Hi - I've checked, and the dotted lines indicate Faubourgs -  a French term approximating suburb (now banlieue)- thus the suburbs of Paris.

  2. Hi,

    2 - this is a layout-formatting issue, the "Í5" should read "x5"

3 - note that if a flintlock pistol scores an Extreme success (impales), it's damage enough to deal a mortal wound or death in most cases. There are also game balance considerations, including the fact they are temperamental weapons.

    1 - I'm double checking on this.

    Thanks

  3. Thanks for spotting the three errors mentioned. The will be corrected and also added to the errata document.

We do use professional proofreaders, as you would see in the books' credits. But, sometimes, they are unable to catch everything, so we are grateful to those who let us know where errors still exist, allowing us to update files accordingly.

Man, I would love a book entirely focused on tomes and artifacts. 5th edition had a Keeper's guide (or something, I own it but can't remember the name) that listed the tomes and the skill benefits, etc. that went with them. I'd love to see that updated and compiled with artifacts, etc.

    Me too

Finally, may I ask you, representing devoted and thirsty fans of Deep Ones, whether Escape from Innsmouth was put in one of the three "categories" ("let it eternal lie", "make it available POD", "wait for it to be updated")?

Escape from Innsmouth is in the pile of books I have on my desk - meaning that it is scheduled for me to work on this year....

  6. Hi

One of the things I've been meaning to do, and which kept escaping me, was to produce a PDF of all of the Masks handouts in plain text as a Keeper reference. A number of the handouts are purposefully difficult to read (due to the in-game writer) - the worst of these already had a plain text version provided within the Masks book - but I though having the lot could be useful for Keepers.

I'm happy to say that this is now done - and we will be adding this file - "Masks of Nyarlathotep plain text handouts" - to the download pack for Masks at Chaosium.com, Drivethru, and Bits & Mortar. Please wait around 48 hours for this new addition to the pack to be uploaded and available (like around 25th Jan 2021).

  7. Hi Simon

I'm in the UK (and I manage the Call of Cthulhu line). The combination of Bexit and Covid has caused issues in shipping the books to our UK warehouse. We have worked / are working to address this as best as we can. We am to have the books in the UK very soon. As noted, we have zero control over boarder checks, shipping times, and so on.

Clearly, we want the books available in the UK as soon as possible.

    Best regards
